NEWS CENTER – The colonialist Turkish state, led by the AKP-MHP, is committing war crimes as a special war government by disregarding international laws in their invasion attacks in southern Kurdistan. They are practicing a terrible state terror against the Kurdish people and all forces fighting for freedom, innocent people and against civilians. On October 18, 2022, the headquarters of the People’s Defense Forces (NPG) published the identities of 17 guerrillas killed by chemical weapons attacks by the Turkish occupying Şehid state. The NPG command made it clear that due to the silence and international support, the chemical weapons attacks have been intensified.
Our agency has been constantly publishing the videos, reports and information related to the war crimes of the Turkish fascist state and from the perspective of remembering the heroes of this historic resistance, we will be publishing about the 17 martyred guerrillas over the next few days in order to remember their struggles, their conviction with the revolution and Serokatî and denounce such war crimes. One of these 17 fallen guerrillas is Heval Delal Şoreş who has been active in the youth works for a while and then joined the YJA Star forces. In October this year, she was killed in the Zap resistance area due to the use of chemical weapons by the Turkish occupying soldiers.
DEMHAT TEKOŞIN
“Our comrade Demhat Têkoşîn was born in a welatparêz family in Kobanê, who made the freedom revolution of Rojava known all over the world with their resistance. Our comrade Demhat, who grew up in the Freedom Revolution of Rojava, witnessed all the processes of the revolution. Comrade Demhat was deeply impressed by the efforts of the freedom fighters who were guided by the philosophy of Rêber APO to protect our people by risking their lives against the attacks of the gangs. The fact that national and internationalist revolutionaries from all over Kurdistan and many countries of the world fought and fell Şehid in the ranks of the Rojava Freedom Revolution caused Comrade Demhat to question himself. He was especially influenced by the life, war and cooperative relations of hundreds of our comrades who participated in the war in Kobanê from the mountains of Kurdistan and he dreamed of reaching the mountains of Kurdistan and becoming a freedom guerrilla. Comrade Demhat, who had intensified his search in his youth, decided to join the guerrillas. Although he was sent out of the country for certain reasons, our comrade Demhat insisted on joining the guerrilla and in 2018, he came from the African country of Sudan where he had worked and joined the guerrilla in Medya defense areas. Our comrade Demhat, who stated that he was reborn when he reached the mountains of Kurdistan for the first time because he was fighting for freedom and working for his childhood dream, participated in life with great enthusiasm and euphoria.
Our comrade Demhat, who joined the ranks of the guerrillas at a time when the attacks on the Medya defense areas began, quickly completed his military and ideological training, aware of the responsibility imposed on him, and moved to the Avaşîn area to take his place on the resistance fronts. The magnificent nature of the Avaşîn area and the strong cooperative ties based on work and sacrifice have inseparably linked our comrade Demhat to this area. Like his other comrades, he recognized the phenomenon of labor as the basic principle of his participation and developed himself by following this principle. In a short time, our comrade Demhat, who immersed himself in the basic style and tactics of the guerrilla of the new era, also became a competent guerrilla by learning to use many weapons. He fought against the Turkish occupation army by taking part in many actions against the enemy in the Avaşîn area and demanded account for the attacks of the genocidal enemy on our people. Our comrade Demhat, who took his place in the resistance positions when the attacks on the Avaşîn area began, became a source of strength and morale for his comrades through his courage. Our comrade Demhat, who followed the principle of successfully completing every work in which he participated, made a great effort and endeavor to duly fulfill the duty of stopping the enemy’s attacks, which he considered the greatest and sacred duty. He participated in every phase of the resistance, from transforming war tunnels into war positions to meeting logistical needs, and fulfilled the tasks of apoist militancy with great seriousness. During the war, he dealt blow after blow to the enemy both in the war tunnels and in the mobile teams.
The invading Turkish army, helpless and powerless in the face of our comrades’ resistance, once again showed its murderous and dishonorable face and used chemical weapons against our comrades who are the hope for the peoples’ freedom. We promise that we will realize the dreams of freedom of all our Şehids in the person of our comrade Demhat, who fell in the Şehid by the chemical weapons attack.”
