YOUR SILENCE KILLS – Summary

NEWS CENTER – Special attention was given to this dossier, in addition to the use of chemical weapons, the use of nuclear explosives. The generally stoked fear of a possible nuclear war, the fear of the outbreak of a nuclear war between different states, has already been wholly stoked in the media public and the use of such explosives has been scandalized in the general public. Accordingly, the information of the HPG and PKK, which reported such extensive use of nuclear explosives, was viewed with disbelief. Of course, states in possession of nuclear weapons may not dare to use them so easily against other states, especially if the opposing state is also in possession of them. But what about states that act against minorities, against revolutionary movements, a revolutionary society? These need not expect a response with nuclear weapons….

In general, in spite of the knowledge and the many criticisms, a certain “loyalty to the state”, a deep-seated belief in the state and its laws, can be assumed in relation to the reactions of the public. Even though many people may not want to admit it, the lack of reaction to these war crimes clearly shows this reality in certain parts of the international public. The fact that the societies in Kurdistan have not reacted (or have reacted only a little) may be related to the massive repression and violence of the state and the fear of it, but the fact that the societies on the international level have not reacted is also related to this reality (in addition to the previously mentioned ideology of liberalism). Already in history, especially for the German society, this fact stands out in a glorifying way. Women’s movements that perished because they left their fought-for achievements to the state and were later plunged into deep darkness by the rising fascist regime.

Socialist movements that believed too much in themselves and their power in the socialist state and did not organize their protection and defense mechanisms or organized them very weakly.

The reality of the enemy already named in the first part of the resume must be recognized, the fascist system has never stopped, it has changed its form and way to deceive the social public. To what extent it can transgress the rules and limits that they themselves have created and declared in order to live out their own desires for power depends on the manner of the reflexes of democratic society.

A politicized and organized society cannot be so easily deceived by the special war of any states. A politicized and organized society does not allow the states to expand their power to such an extent that they can transgress the rules and laws of human ethics in such a way. The absence of the politicized and organized society is evident through these war crimes, and the absence of the corresponding reactions within the society shows this reality. In this framework, especially the youth, as the vanguard of the society has not fulfilled its task and mission within the society or has not performed it to the extent it should.

For it is above all the youth that, through their criticism, their reaction, their resistance, points out the grievances in society and tackles them. Above all, the youth leads the society into a better future, strengthens the society and drives its development forward, if they educate and organize themselves properly.

The war crimes against the guerrillas, which have been going on since April 14, 2022, but actually for many years, are in this sense a subject of self-criticism of the youth. A self-criticism that the youth has to perform within the framework of its social responsibility. A self-criticism that has to be done not with words but with deeds.

Of course, youth in all parts of the world are under a lot of pressure. In the context of the media and general bombardment of special war, assimilation, alienation, deception and repression, youth quickly lose sight of the actual reality in which they and their society find themselves. Loses awareness of their role and mission and loses their hope and belief that another world is possible.

The construction of the PKK, the organizations of the social defense units of the HPG and YJA Star, the existence of the Guerrilla of Freedom of Kurdistan, the revolution in Rojava stand up to the attempts to take away the hope and faith of the people worldwide. With their existence and resistance against occupation and genocide, with their war and struggle against fascism, they became shining examples that withstood any attacks of the imperialist powers and defended their achievements with the blood of thousands of young fighters until today.

It is all the more important that the youth does not lose sight of this reality, all the more important that the youth does not forget that it is they who are leading this revolution, that it is they who have made the PKK what it is today, that it is they who are resisting in the mountains of Kurdistan. That it is them who are pushing the revolution in Rojhilat, that it is them who are defending the revolution in Rojava within the society and on the war fronts. That they are the ones who are responsible for the silence of the society in the south and north of Kurdistan. That they are the ones who lead the actions in the European space and set the public agenda. That is why the youth is attacked so massively, that is why the youth has to defend itself and the society and its values, not only in Kurdistan, or in the Middle East, but worldwide.

The Fedaî action of Şehîd Sara Tolhildan Goyî and Şehîd Rûken, on September 26, 2022, was in this sense not only an action to put the enemy in its place and to respond to its weakness, but a call to the youth and especially to the young women to finally respond to the reality of the existence of this enemy and to do justice to their own role.

Şehîd Sara Tolhildan Goyî and Şehîd Rûken showed the sacrificial spirit by marching clearly towards their enemy with great courage, confidence, composure and determination. They held the initiative in their hands and shot at the enemy first with a pistol and then with automatic weapons. They realized their responsibility and did not wait for others or hope for any state, political organizations. They trusted in their own strength and the strength of the PKK, Rêber APOs and the Şehîds.

HPG stated regarding the action of Şehîd Sara Tolhildan Goyî and Şehîd Rûken:

“No one should expect Fedai militants of Apoyî to behave differently while the knife of genocide is put on the throat of our people, while inhumane practices are developed against the insurgents in the dungeons, while the innocent Kurdish people are massacred every day and in different ways, our comrades fall Şehid with chemical weapons.”

No one should expect the youth to be silent while genocide is being committed against the Kurdish society, when fascism is spreading all over the world and trying to spread the imperialist system of capitalist modernity over all parts of the world and committing massacres against nature and society for this purpose. Nobody should expect the youth to be silent while their party, the PKK is in a war of existence and non-existence with fascism and the imperialist powers. Nobody should expect the youth to be silent while their leader Abdullah Ocalan is in the hand of the enemy and is to be separated from the youth and society through a system of isolation torture. No one should expect the youth to be silent while they face massacre attacks in the mountains of Kurdistan with war crimes from chemical weapons to banned bombs. No one should expect the youth to remain silent while their revolution, which has been taking place in Kurdistan for over 44 years, faces such massive attacks. No one should expect the internationalist youth to remain silent while the revolution in Rojava, which is also an internationalist revolution, is being razed to the ground by a fascist regime.

Some youth have realized this and joined the ranks of the guerrillas in this sense, but the line that Şehîd Sara Tolhildan Goyî and Şehîd Rûken developed with the foundation of Şehîd Zîlan’s line is a line that all youth and young women should take as an example and prove worthy of. These two young women recognized the signs of the times and acted accordingly, with their faith and determination.

We conclude this dossier with the words of Şehîd Sara Tolhildan Goyî:

“This is the time when we are reaching the highest peaks at the moment. The thing that is on our shoulders is that we should really be able to develop the guerrilla of victory and say enough to what is there. We should be able to say to the conditions, the isolation and torture that our chairman is in, that enough is enough and we are going to put an end to this situation. For this, we have to deal more with our personality, build our personality and when we are there as a movement to answer the attacks that are being carried out on all four parts of Kurdistan, on our society and our movement, towards this image. We say that our duty and responsibility that is imposed on us in this time is to prepare on this basis.”
