Our comrade Azad, originally from Pirsûs district of Riha, was born into a welatparêz family that had to emigrate from Turkey to Uşak because of the oppression by the fascist Turkish state. Although he grew up far from the holy places of Kurdistan’s freedom struggle and the first major blows against the colonialists and collaborators, he has always managed to cling to the welatparêz consciousness and culture that he received from his family and not from the to subdue the assimilation policy of the colonial Turkish state. Our comrade, who from an early age was in search of struggle, brought the historical resistance of our society in Kobanê, which became the target of attacks by fascist IS gangs, closely followed and was greatly influenced by it. Our comrade, believing that it is essential to wage tough guerrilla warfare in order for our society to have a free future, joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla in 2015 to respond to the colonialist attacks.
Our comrade Azad had joined the guerrillas in Amed Licê, later moved to the Botan area. He successfully completed his training as a new fighter on the battlefield and was used in practice. Comrade Azad, who gained his first guerrilla experience fighting the colonialist Turkish army in Bakur Kurdistan, after his successful deployment in Besta and Herekol, moved to the Medya Defense Zones. Our comrade Azad, deepening his guerrilla experience through the ideological and military training he received, moved to Zagros where he was practically active for many years. After four years of guerrilla service in the harsh conditions of the Avaşîn area, our comrade moved to the Zap area in 2019 and became more and more involved there. Our comrade Azad has earned a special place among all our Hevals through his work, his dedication to the Hevals and the Hevaltî, his honesty and sacrifice. Our comrade, who with his attitude, which is immediately noticeable by his unpredictable participation in every area he goes to, with his childlike pure heart, participated in all the preparations for war during his time in the Avaşîn and Zap areas continued his positional work and by the work he did earned the love and respect of all his Hevals. The work of our comrade Azad in repelling all attacks of the colonialist Turkish army on the areas of Zap and Avaşîn has resulted in many positive results. In the recent operation in the Zap area, our comrade Azad, who found the ground to better showcase his years of experience in these areas, made an effective and pioneering contribution in this sense. While he participated in the first period of the occupation operation in the Kurojahro resistance area, he later moved to the Saca resistance area and, together with his comrades in the Şehîd Xursî combat positions, offered historic resistance.
Specializing in guerrilla tactics, our comrade Azad took part in all the stages of the Bazên Zagos revolutionary movement and was always on the hot battlefield. Our comrade Azad, who led the resistance in the fighting positions to the end with great determination, continued his self-sacrificing attitude here without hesitation. As an exemplary fighter of the apoist Fedaî attitude, our comrade Azad, who left his comrades behind an endless legacy of struggle, will always live on in our struggle.
