NEWS CENTER – The year 2022 was a year of action, resistance and struggle as young women in Kurdistan and outside Kurdistan filled the streets and emerging from the rebellion that arose in Rojhilat Kurdistan under the slogan “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” attracted worldwide attention.
As part of the “Werin Cenga Azadîyê” youth offensive, young women fought for physical freedom Rêber APOs with a wide variety of actions in Rojava, North-East Syria, in Başûr , Mexmûr and Shengal , as well as in Europe and many others places against the ongoing international conspiracy and participated in the fight against occupation and treason.
However, it was also a year in which there were massive attacks on young women and the women’s movement in all four parts of Kurdistan, but also in Europe, which led to heavy casualties. With their actions, the young women and their internationalist friends made it clear that they will intensify the fight in memory of the Şehîds and commemorated their fallen with various actions.
JANUARY
- The year 2022 began with the sneaky drone attack on 6 Kurdish youths in Kobanê, which took place on December 25, 2021 and mobilized Kurdistan’s youth to fight even harder for Kurdistan’s freedom.
- Especially in memory of the fallen young women Nûjiyan Ocalan, Viyan Kobanê, Rojîn Ehmed Îsa and in commemoration of the Paris massacre in which the three Kurdish revolutionaries Sara, Rojbîn and Ronahî became Şehîds, the young women led throughout Europe and North -East Syria various actions by .
- There were actions in Qamişlo, Hesekê, Şehba, Aleppo and Şe ngal in memory of the Şehîds of Kobanê and Paris and in Germany the young women of TekoJIN together with the women’s movement in memory of the fallen of Paris in Hanover, Stuttgart, Kiel , Hamburg, Saarbrücken, Aurich, Berlin, Bremen, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt demonstrated.
- I n Bakur Kurdistan , the women of the Jinên Tîrêjên Rojê initiative carried out actions in memory of the Şehîds of Kobanê and Paris against the Turkish occupying police.
- On January 20th, the IS gangs attacked Hesekê . As part of the revolutionary people’s struggle, the young women took part in securing the city of Hesekê , and the young women also organized street checks in Qam işlo .

FEBRUARY
- February, the month that marks the blackest day of the Kurdistan freedom movement, focused on the actions of the young women for the physical freedom of Rêber APO and against the international conspiracy responsible for the arrest of Rêber APO on February 15, 1999.
- In Hesekê, Qamişlo, Kobanê , in Mainz and Freiburg , the young women campaigned against the international conspiracy and for its chairman, Abdullah Öcalan. In Hesekê , the young women remembered Şehîd Viyan Soran, who burned herself to death in protest against the international conspiracy, and young Arab women in Shengal spoke about their connection to Rêber Apo.
- In addition, the young women in Europe drew attention to the ongoing war in Kurdistan and condemned the attacks by the occupying Turkish state on Rojava, Shengal and Maxmur . For this purpose, press institutions were visited by JXK and TekoJIN in Frankfurt and TekoJIN Rotterdam also became active.
- In Silêmanî ( Başur) , young female students campaigned for the freedom of Zara Mihemed on Mother Language Day.
MARCH
- March 2022 was marked by brutal attacks against female activists and young women in northern Kurdistan and the mobilizations for the March 8th actions to strengthen the organized struggle of women against the male dominance mentality and the celebrations of the beginning of spring, the new beginning and with the Fire of Freedom by Newroz.
- In Bakur , students in Merdîn celebrated March 8 on the campus, and in Amed there was a bike tour in which the young women of the HPD took part.
- In addition, the YPS-JIN celebrated its sixth anniversary in the women’s resistance for freedom.
- In Shengal , the 8th of March was also celebrated by the young Yezidi women together with the Yezidi women’s movement.
- In Maxmur , the young women mobilized in the city of Maxmur for March 8th.
- In Rojava and north-eastern Syria there were numerous actions by young Kurdish and Arab women on March 8, such as cultural events and theater performances in Shehba, Dêrik, Hesekê and Aleppo .

- In Iran , Kurdish freedom fighter Zeynep Celaliyan, who has been a political prisoner for 15 years, addressed a message to the women on March 8 , saying: “As tyrannical as the tyrants are and as much as they intensify torture, the more I become a heroine.”
- In Europe, the young women took part in the March 8 actions organized by the women’s movement in Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, France, Sweden and the Netherlands , and internationalist friends and the JXK also attracted attention with March 8 actions.
- Actions by young women and internationalists took place in Bern, Bielefeld, Zurich, Valencia and Vienna .
- In addition, the members of TekoJIN and JXK campaigned for the freedom of Rêber APOs and became active in Frankfurt, Hanover, Mainz and London . In Strasbourg , the young women of TekoJIN took on a vigil for Rêber APO’s physical freedom.
- During the Newroz festival, young women in Europe drew attention to the importance of defending Kurdish culture and declared: “We will defend the culture and our culture is resistance”.
- Our news agency also remembered the fallen internationalists Ivanna Hoffmann, Alina Sanchez and Helîn Qereçox.
APRIL
- April started with the celebrations of April 4th, the birthday of President Rêber APO, which young women in Europe and north-east Syria celebrated in different ways.
- The young women worked for Rêber APO in Reqqa, Mainz, Frankfurt, Dortmund and Bielefeld .
- In addition, our news agency published various reports with young women from the heart of the Rojava revolution and the tasks that young women are taking on in the revolution.
- Young women in Başur Kurdistan told our news agency how important it is for young women to further educate and deepen themselves in the philosophy of Rêber APO.
- The Women’s Defense Units YPJ celebrated their 9th anniversary.
- The Jinên Tîrêjên Rojê initiative, as well as the young women in Aleppo, Reqqa , TekoJIN in Frankfurt and internationalists in Bologna drew attention to the brutal attacks of the Turkish occupying soldiers against the guerrillas in the Medya defense areas.
- On April 21, the JXK opened a podcast reporting on the current situation in Kurdistan and topics of young women and youth , and the young women’s commune Şehid Berjîn Zenda was founded in Duisburg .

MAY
- The month of May is dedicated to the memory of Şehîds of the freedom struggle, our news agency commemorated the revolutionary women worldwide and highlighted revolutionary women figures who fell in May, such as Şehid Hozan Mizgin, Şehid Şirin Elem Hulî, Leyla Qasim and Elisabeth Käsemann.

- In memory of the fallen young women of Kobanê , the young women of North-East Syria held a workshop with the motto: “We will win the fight for freedom with the youthful spirit of Viyan and Nujiyan”.
- Coordination member of Komalên Jinên Ciwan, Sara Hogir Riha addresses the young women: “Fight against fascism!”
- The Jinên Tîrêjên Rojê initiative took action against the Turkish occupiers in Bakur Kurdistan and Turkey with Molotovs and hand-made bombs, remembered those who died in May and called on young women to take part in the fight.

JULY

- Near Til Temir and Hesekê , four young women Ranya Eta, Zozan Zêdan, Dîlan Izedîn and Diyana Elo were killed by a drone attack during a volleyball game at a girls’ education center on August 18, 2022 .
- A young internationalist addressed moving words in a farewell letter to Şehîd Roj Xabur and explained: “We are the decisive factor in the fight, and so I fight in your footsteps”.
- In Maxmur we spoke to the young woman Selma Bozan about the importance of defending Kurdish art and culture and said: “With our art and culture we will leave a mark on history”.
- Fallen young women and YPJ commanders were also remembered in Europe, with Catalonian women publishing a message in memory of Şehîd Roj, Barîn and Xabur .
- Şehîd Dîdar Harûn (real name Gülistan Akgöl) became immortal on June 1st, 2022 in the fight together with Şehîd Özgür Memyan and Şehîd Zemanî Rojhat against the forces of capitalist modernity in Hanover the guerrilla fighter was remembered.

SEPTEMBER
- In Maxmûr , the guerrilla fighter Şehîd Mardin Penaber was remembered, who fell as a result of the attacks by the occupying Turkish state with chemical weapons Şehîd.
- Another young woman fell as a result of the drone attack on the girls’ education center near Hesekê Şeh îd . Silava Remedan died of her injuries at the age of 17.
- In Bakur , the Jinên Tîrêjên Rojê initiative campaigned against the fascists and occupiers for the prisoners, for Rêber APO, the guerrillas and the fallen.
- In Mersîn , images of the successful Fedaî action by female guerrillas Sara Tolhildan and Rûken Zelal against a highly-secured police station gained worldwide attention, which told HPG that the action was carried out to the highest professional standards.
- In Iran , the young Kurdish woman Jîna Aminî was murdered by the moral police during her visit to Tehran , whereupon the rebellion led by women and youth in many parts of Rojhilat and Iran began under the slogan “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” against the patriarchal system of rule in Iran erupted in Iran that continue to this day.
- The call “Jin, Jiyan , Azadî” echoed as far away as Afghanistan, where courageous women stood up to the Taliban regime. Protests also erupted in Athens , Marseille , London and Basel , shouting “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî”.

OCTOBER
- On October 18, the HPG 17 press center published the identities of the guerrillas who killed Şehîd in attacks with chemical weapons and banned bombs .
- The guerrilla Sara Serhildan, member of the Komalên Jinên Ciwan, commented on the Komalên Jinên Ciwan homepage about the martyrdom of the 17 guerrillas of the freedom of Kurdistan by the attacks of the Turkish occupying state with chemical and forbidden weapons.
- In Dêrik and Aleppo , the young women were against the use of chemical weapons on the streets, and in Berlin, the members of TekoJIN, together with internationalists, hijacked the television channel ZDF.

- November is marked every year by the International Day against Violence against Women and the anniversary of the founding of the PKK, November 27th.
- The young Kurdish and internationalist women in Ranya ( Başûr), Mexmûr , north-east Syria, London, Duisburg, Hanover, Frankfurt, Zurich, Cologne, Frankfurt and Aarau organized various actions on November 25th to address the violence against To draw attention to women and the resistance against it.
- In addition, the young women were active in Berlin, Wuppertal, Switzerland, Rome, Cologne, Hanover and Frankfurt to campaign against the occupation of Kurdistan and attacks on the guerrillas with chemical weapons.
- In addition, the young participants from the fifth Jineolojî camp sent a video message to the guerrillas and the population in Rojava, supporting the resistance against occupation and betrayal and condemning the attacks.

The YPS-JIN was also active in Van .

- In Rojhilat , a young woman was released from prison because dozens of young people threatened armed resistance if she were not released, and in Europe the massacre in Paris , in which the pioneer of the women’s freedom movement Evîn Goyî and the two Kurdish Welatparêz Mîr Perwer Abdurrahman Kızıl were murdered in cold blood in front of the Kurdish cultural association Ahmet Kaya in Paris on December 23 for revenge actions by the young women and strong protests.
