NEWS CENTER – The popular uprising that started in Rojhilatê Kurdistan and Iran after Jina Emini was tortured to death continues despite all the massacres and detention operations of the Iranian state. The Resistance is entering its 5th month today.
Active power of students serhildans
People in 8 districts of Tehran shouted slogans against the Iranian state on the balconies and stated that they would continue their actions until they reach their goals. At the same time, university students also protested.
Strikes were also carried out in the cities of Zencan and Mahşehir. Workers demanded improvement in working conditions.
The names of 50 people detained in Ciwanro last week were released. Detention operations continue in Sine, Seqiz, Dêwlan, Bokan and many other cities.
Despite all the detention attempts, the protests continue. Commemoration ceremonies for the murdered are massively welcomed. Another group of protesters, who were also detained, were sentenced.
More than five hundred people were killed
At least 500 people have been killed by Iranian state forces since the protests began. 120 of those killed were Kurds. While 112 of the tens of thousands taken into custody were given the death penalty, 4 people were executed.
A big rally will be held today in Strasbourg, France, in order to embrace the resistance of the people of Eastern Kurdistan and Iran.
