BEHDINAN – In a written statement, HPG-BİM said, “The invading Turkish army continues to commit war crimes by using phosphorus-containing cannons. The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla responded to the attacks on the basis of self-defense. The areas where our forces were located were bombed once with warplanes, 43 times with tanks, howitzers and heavy weapons. In addition, the guerrilla resistance areas were bombed 15 times with cannons containing phosphorus,” it said.
In the statement, the following details regarding the attacks of the invading Turkish army were given:
In the Zap region;
- The invaders who attacked our resistance positions near the village of Sîda in the Şêladize sub-district of the Amediyê district on February 25 at 10:30 and 12:00 were hit by our forces with heavy weapons in order to defend themselves.
- On February 25, at 19:00, the invaders around the resistance positions near the village of Sîda in the Şêladize sub-district of the Amediyê district attacked our forces and wanted to install a mobesse camera system. Our forces, who had to protect themselves against the attacks, shot the invaders with an assassination tactic and 1 invader was punished.
The attacks carried out by the invading Turkish army with banned bombs;
- On February 25, our resistance positions near the village of Sîda in the Şêladizê sub-district of the Amediyê district were bombed 15 times with cannons containing phosphorus from tanks.
The attacks carried out by the invading Turkish army;
- On February 24, the Xêrê area in Garê was bombed once with warplanes.
- On February 25, our resistance positions near the Çemço region and Sîda village in the Sheladize sub-district of the Amediyê district were bombed 43 times with howitzers, tanks and heavy weapons.”
