ATHENS – Just days before the anniversary of the international conspiracy against Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan on February 15, 1999, the Kurds living in Greece continue the 3-day long march to both condemn the international conspiracy and meet their demands for freedom.
WE WILL WALK TO THE PARLIAMENT AND THE TURKISH CONSULATE
After breakfast, the marchers will set off again to march to Athens tomorrow. Continuing the march with great enthusiasm despite the cold weather, the young people plan to arrive in Athens at noon. Activists will hold a mass press statement in front of the Greek Parliament and a press statement will be held in front of the Turkish Consulate to protest the isolation and isolation policies, and the action will end.
The long march started in Greece under the leadership of TCŞ Tevgera Ciwanen Şoreşger and with the participation of the European Women’s Movement TJK-E continued on its second day. The activists, who started to march again in the early hours of the morning, distributed leaflets in the city and district centers regarding the February 15 Conspiracy. Young people walking with great enthusiasm and morale shout slogans in Greek such as “Biji Serok Apo”, “Biji berxwedana zindana”, “Be Serok jiyan na be”.
During the march, the young people drew attention to the losses suffered as a result of the earthquake that developed in the center of Mereş Bazarcıx on February 6, and unfurled a banner. The young people wore black ribbons on the (YELLOW VESTS) they wore during the march.
IN BAKUR PEOPLE ARE LEFT TO DIE
This geography is located on the earthquake belt. Many large and small earthquakes occur. Our memories are still fresh as a result of the ’99 earthquake and many earthquakes that occurred in different regions after that. Deaths exceeding thousands continue to take place in the sad history of our people as a painful reality. This last earthquake we experienced has already reached serious dimensions with its numbers increasing day by day.
