First of all, I respectfully greet the historical Imrali resistance and Leader Apo. Yes, we left behind another February 15th. Leader Apo declared today as ‘Kurdish Genocide Day’. Our people said ‘black day’. The protest actions against the conspiracy took place strongly in all areas. Indeed, the Kurdish people and their friends have shown their stance. All the cities of North-East Syria, all areas of Europe, four parts of Kurdistan and abroad, were protested against a complete conspiracy and demanding the physical freedom of Leader Apo. People have made it clear that they do not want to live with the conspiracy and the Imrali torture and isolation system, which is the continuation of the conspiracy today. I would like to thank everyone who took to the streets and filled the squares for the physical freedom of Leader Apo against the international conspiracy, who actually wanted their own freedom.

THE SITUATION THAT LOOKS LIKE FATE IS OVER
The conspiracy aimed to destroy Leader Apo and, based on him, to liquidate the PKK, to genocide the Kurds or to bring the Kurdish genocide to a conclusion. They have been trying for 25 years to achieve this goal, but they have not succeeded. For 25 years, his plans failed. They’re just continuing. The Imrali torture and genocide system and the aggravated isolation attack make this clear. They obviously want to continue in this process as well. Against this, as the Movement and the people, we really carried out a historical resistance. It was a resistance that turned the past history upside down. They say to beat bad luck. It really did. The situation of the Kurds, which seemed like a destiny before, was destroyed on the basis of Leader Apo, our movement and the resistance of our people. This is a very important situation. DISASTER CROSSED SOCIETY
We, as the continuation of the February 15 plot and its current continuation, have broken up the Imrali torture and genocide system; While we were focused on developing the struggle for the freedom of Kurdistan and the democratization of Turkey, we came face to face with the earthquake disaster on the morning of 6 February. It’s a very serious situation. It covered a large area. There are 11 cities in Kurdistan and Turkey, and 4-5 cities in Syria. It stretches all the way to Cairo, on the coast of the Eastern Mediterranean. It is a disaster spread over a very wide area, with a very high severity. It’s called a natural disaster. It fell on society like a disaster. Whatever the reason, it has dire consequences. On the first day, our Movement, our co-presidency made a statement. He shared the pain of our people and called on what should be the attitude and how to fight against this disaster. This was basically a mobilization. 10. day has passed. So it was an important time. Let’s say that even though the rescue work continues, it’s almost over.
On this basis, first of all, I wish mercy to those who lost their lives and healing to the injured. I share the pain of our peoples of Kurdistan, Turkey and Syria. I wish resistance to our people who were damaged by the earthquake. I say that being in solidarity and sharing will keep us alive. The consequences are dire. Although we do not have detailed information, as far as we follow from the press, the results are really heavy. We also know the region. We are also children of those lands. We were born and raised here. We know most of them concretely. Severe winter conditions further aggravated the situation. In the middle of the black winter, such a disaster came. And a wide field. It can be said that it is the area where approximately 20 million people live.
AN EVENT THAT AFFECTS EVERYONE
I am only speaking for the borders of TC. The place from Syria to Cairo is a little different. It is also an area where Arab, Kurdish and Turkish populations are most active. It is an area with the most dynamic Kurdish population. There is a mobile population as well as a resident population in this area. Therefore, this increased the damage even more. SOLIDARITY AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT

However, the Kurdish policy of this state is known. AKP-MHP’s approach to Kurds is also known. Some circles could directly try to help local forces, the community. As a matter of fact, there were those who took an open stance, saying that there is discrimination against Kurds, Alevis, and revolutionary democratic left circles. A distinction is made. The AKP-MHP administration already implements an all-out fascist attack management, destruction management, terror management, attitude and policies over earthquakes.
There are attitudes that try to prevent social solidarity and social mobility. So many circles would have taken that into account. I once again express my deepest condolences to all our people. Indeed, we will transform the pain of this into consciousness, organization, solidarity and, on this basis, democratic struggle and liberation.
1976 KILLING EARTHQUAKE REMINDER
I can express this; The Van/Çaldıran earthquake in the winter of 1976 occurred when we were just starting to become a group in the country. Groups of five or ten people from all Kurdish provinces went to that earthquake and worked. Haki friend from Antep went and coordinated. With the struggle we will wage against the severe consequences of this earthquake, we aim to achieve victory and to gain freedom and democracy on the basis of Leader Apo’s physical freedom. We can do it, we can make it. This is definitely the right approach. So, 45 years ago, during an earthquake, we were becoming the Movement. We were stepping into the fight. Now this is of course a much heavier earthquake. We will fight with all our strength against the consequences. As the Movement and the people, we will do whatever it takes, we will struggle to alleviate the consequences, to alleviate the suffering of our people, to compensate for the damages, and to make ourselves unable to experience such catastrophic disasters again. We believe this will be the right attitude.
A LIFE SUITABLE FOR EARTHQUAKE CAN BE BUILT

THE SYSTEM MAXIMIZES DAMAGE
Here is the rentier system, this exploitative system, the system that is crazy and destroys nature, not minimizing the damage that an earthquake can cause and maximizing it. We saw in this earthquake that it was maximized. So all cities are like that. The events on the line stretching from Adıyaman to Maraş, Malatya, Diyarbakır, Antep, Hatay, Osmaniye and Adana showed this clearly. Is there any settlement suitable for the earthquake zone? So, the culprit is not the earthquake, but the guilty are those who do not build their lives according to the earthquake. SO THAT ALL THE POWER CAN BE MOVED FOR THE EARTHQUAKE

He reached such a decision that all the power would be mobilized to compensate for the consequences of the earthquake. This was also a very important situation, it was dark. Accordingly, our approach continues. We mobilize all our strength. Our people are in an important solidarity. We are all aware of the weight of this. We also experience this pain, but we only experience pain, Patience is not enough. It has to be understood and corrected. We are working hard on it, too.
THE PEOPLE CAN SAVE THEMSELVES FROM THIS ROBOTIC ORDER
If he focused on the consequences of the Van earthquake 45 years ago, and if he revealed such a popular will, initiative, on the basis of the freedom struggle, we now want to reveal the same results on the results of this earthquake, of course. So much so that the people can take their own destiny into their own hands and save themselves from this rent-seeking robber order. He declared a state of emergency. The cooperation of all institutions, parties and associations other than the AKP-MHP forbade the society’s solidarity with each other. It’s still banned.

We have always said before that the AKP has not yet fully decided on the election. Now he is trying to make the earthquake an occasion to prevent the election. This approach seems They can do so. They can increase the oppression, terror, and impose war as a continuation of this.
HE WILL Aggravate His Own Crime

On the contrary, these institutions, associations, non-governmental organizations, trade unions, parties, that is, they should enter the society. Sharing the pain of the society should heal the wounds of the society. There must be a full mobilization, a process of solidarity. Social organization must be developed.
THE IMPORTANCE OF SOCIAL SOLIDARITY AND SHARING REVEALED
For the society, I can say the following; Indeed, the great importance of social solidarity and sharing has emerged. It has become clear how important it is to be a democratic society, to be a democratic nation, to develop a democratic confederalism system instead of a state. Let’s see them clearly. Let’s take rich lessons in this sense. Let’s educate ourselves. There seems to be a lack of education. We are also responsible for this. Everyone is responsible. Society must be in the right consciousness. Those who have accumulated so much in those cities can go towards the villages. Not to the parties AKP-MHP wants, but to the villages. Village society should definitely not leave its place, its homeland. Some families say we will not leave our land. That’s right, they shouldn’t. They can establish a life system in which disasters such as earthquakes will not kill them. That’s how it should be.
They can build community life better with solidarity. So that polished, always lustful thing of capitalism is not life. You should not run there. Therefore, our society must be resilient.
MORE SOLIDARITY WITH EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS
There should be more cooperation and sharing with earthquake victims abroad in all areas, in four parts. But we must also transform it into an awareness and organization. Our call to all revolutionary democratic forces and democratic political circles; they should make an effort at the level of mobilization without giving any hindrance, in order for them to lead the way in this regard, to raise awareness of the society and to heal the wounds of the society. Once again, I share the pain of our people, but I think that if we approach like this, we will relieve the pain sooner and overcome it faster.
THE DECISION TO INACTION IS THE RIGHT DECISION
The center of the earthquake and the areas it hit are the area where the PKK was established. It is a region he knows very well. In other words, 70 percent of the population exposed to the earthquake is Kurdish. They are the most patriotic sections of Kurdish society. In this sense, we have a lot of pain. Conscious of all this, our Movement decided that it would not be right to create a common opportunity, to continue the war in an environment where so much suffering was experienced, and took a decision alone. He made a call, it was a call to everyone. In other words, this is a natural situation, a humanitarian situation, a state of conscience, a situation required by our democratic politics. This is also related to our line. Some circles consider it that way. It is natural for us to take a correct assessment, such an approach, such an attitude in the face of events and developments. It is connected with our mobilization to fight the consequences of the earthquake. We developed it as part of it. Of course, this has several goals. Its counterparts are diverse. How much it found its place, it was adopted; this is important.
AKP-MHP GOVERNMENT DID NOT CONSIDER, IT IS ATTACKING
One interlocutor was the government. We are at war with the current government and the state system, we are at war. Did AKP-MHP fascism reach the conscientious effect of the earthquake like we did? It did not arrive. Yes, we have taken the decision of unilateral inaction. Unless there is an attack, our forces will not take any offensive action, but they are being attacked, they are exposed. The attack never stopped. You can watch this daily in the press. HPG-BİM gives. In the past, he gave the war balance sheets on a daily basis. Now he is giving attack reports. We are watching too. We see that; The AKP-MHP government did not respond, it did not completely stop its attacks. He’s got less power, maybe he’s doing less. It may be due to winter conditions, but it does. The important thing is that he is doing it. It’s not about doing more or less. Yet it shouldn’t have. This is an important situation. Everyone should see this should follow carefully. This is the attitude of the current AKP-MHP government. It doesn’t give the required response.
Now, of course, we didn’t do it just for that government. Our partner is society. Has there been enough response from all political circles, democratic political forces, political forces in Turkey and the world? It was widely reflected in the foreign press. There were also aspects that evaluated positively, but were there any developments that turned it into politics? Did they show the sensitivity of the press in political circles? We can’t say that much yet. They should be able to show. For example, they should have been more concerned with earthquake zones at work. They should be able to oppose the AKP-MHP’s inadequacies and discrimination. They discriminate against Alevis and Kurds. Women and young people speak openly in earthquake zones. They say that apart from the Kurdish community, democratic forces, Turkey’s revolutionary democratic forces, we did not receive any help from other circles other than the state. There is clear discrimination. Then they can prevent it. They should be a little more involved in the Kurdish question. It gives aid to the state as it is. AKP-MHP is being used on the basis of their rentier policies. We would like to draw the attention of these circles. I mean, even in earthquakes like this, there was discrimination, isn’t it? What more to say? This government approach, however, has not been very sensitive in other political and opposition circles.
THE OPPOSITION CANNOT BUILD PRESSURE
Only the HDP and the Labor Freedom Alliance reacted a little, but other parties within the CHP and the Nation Alliance could have taken a stand. In this sense, they can take an attitude towards what the AKP-MHP is doing. Instead of sending the army to save the citizens from the earthquake, it sends the army to war. He’s on the battlefield. So they could criticize it. In this sense, they were weak, they were insufficient. The Labor and Freedom Alliance and HDP expressed a little. Too strong, not overlooked. However, it had to be stopped. The addressee is the government, but not only the government, but also politics, all political circles, social circles, trade unions, associations, women’s and youth organizations, non-governmental organizations, parties are the addressees of this political decision. Everyone should be able to take a stand. They should put pressure on the AKP-MHP government, which does not take such a decision into consideration by adopting an attitude.
THE CONTINUATION OF INACTIVITY WILL DETERMINATE THE INTERPRETATIONS
The AKP-MHP fascism continues its attacks, gains support and benefits in developing its monopoly. This is very clear. In this respect, we could not see an effective stance in an environment. Actually, it should be. We follow on the basis of our own understanding, we will continue, we will continue. As I mentioned, it was for the effects of the earthquake. Another misunderstanding, no one should be in a different approach. If they want to evaluate this better, then all political circles should reveal their stances. It can happen both inside Turkey and abroad for anyone who is interested in Turkish politics. If they don’t, the blame is on us. We will follow according to our own understanding. For now, we cannot say where the result will go. It’s not just about us. In a sense, we did our best. All democratic circles, revolutionaries and popular forces appreciate this. The rest is left to the interlocutors. Their attitude will determine. We will look at that attitude.
