BEHDİNAN – KCK Executive Council Co-Chair Cemil Bayık sent a message to the Newroz celebration held in Qendil. Drawing attention to the 100th anniversary of the Treaty of Lausanne, Bayık emphasized that this agreement should be terminated.
LEADER APO LAUNCHED THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE PKK AT NEWROZ
Bayık’s message is as follows: Leader Apo laid the foundations of the PKK on Newroz in 1973. The leadership built the party and the people of Newroz with the spirit of Newroz. I congratulate Newroz to Leader Apo, our people, all parties in Kurdistan, our people in Europe and abroad, our people wherever they are, our friends, the people of the Middle East, the comrades resisting in prisons, the comrades in the mountains resisting the occupation, all YPG, YJA Star militants.
In the person of our national leader Mazlum Doğan and Mehsum Korkmaz, I congratulate Zekiye, Rahşan, Berivan and all the martyrs of freedom and commemorate them with respect. I commemorate all martyrs in the person of comrades Raperin and Yaşar Botan, who were martyred recently.
OUR PAIN IS GREAT DUE TO THE EARTHQUAKE
We welcome Newroz this year with great sadness and pain due to the earthquake. I wish God’s mercy to the citizens who lost their lives in the earthquake, and a speedy recovery to the injured. My condolences to our people. Our pain is great, we, the PKK and Kurdish people, always use our pain as a force and cause resistance, organization and struggle. Our people showed great support and help in this process. This is very valuable. Socialist and democrat people, young women friends, led the process in the earthquake. They helped the people. They shared everything with the public and did a great service. I believe that women and young people in particular will assume their role and leadership in Newroz.
NO ONE SHOULD LEFT HOME, LAND
The invading and genocidal Turkish state, under the pretext of an earthquake, wants to get results with its plans for Eastern Reform in earthquake regions. Everyone knows, sees and talks about it. Maybe our people went to other places for some reason. But now the weather conditions are good, everyone get back to their places. No one should leave their home, village or land. When there was an earthquake, we made and announced a humanitarian, moral and conscientious decision to mobilize everyone. We said that we stopped our actions. From where? Because all the people took care of the earthquake victims, they help and meet their needs. Develop all your energy on this basis. That’s why we made this decision. It was a humane, moral and conscientious decision. Some forces and parties have asked us to declare a ceasefire before. We made this decision at that time, but those who wanted us did not claim it. The Turkish state increased its attacks. These attacks still continue. With this attack, the invading genocidal Turkish state invalidated our decision, our people need to know this fact.
CHOICES THAT WILL DETERMINATE THE FUTURE
As is known, elections will be held in Kurdistan and Turkey on May 14. This is no ordinary choice. It is an election that will determine the future of Turkey, leftist forces, freedom and democracy, and the Kurdish people. Either fascism will dominate Turkey completely, it will be a disaster for the Middle East, or this election will pave the way for a democratic republic. For this, AKP-MHP must be defeated in this election. For this, all forces of freedom and democracy must work day and night. The role of the Labor and Freedom Alliance in determining Turkey’s future has increased and should continue to increase. The role of this alliance is in sight, everyone is talking about it. For this, the alliance needs to play its role strongly. Because everyone wants it, expects it. AKP-MHP fascism will use all means to stay in power and continue the Kurdish genocide. He will realize this with cunning and material and moral means. For this reason, it will increase its attacks, pressures and provocations until the election. We must take action against it. We will never take a step back, as they highlighted the provocations in the previous elections, we will base the resistance.
WE ARE IN THE FINAL, THE AGREEMENT OF LAUSANNE SHOULD BE BROKEN
We are entering the 100th anniversary of the Treaty of Lausanne. The Kurdish massacre has been carried out through this agreement so far. Now, our people must break this policy and alliance and form the basis of a free and dignified life for themselves. This should be accepted by everyone. He must now say that he wants to live freely on his own land, with will and identity. We do not accept anything else. Everyone should accept this. Let’s trash the Lausanne alliance. This is what is required of us. That’s why we are in a final now, everyone should understand this, aim for victory. It should make the final, bury the AKP-MHP and pave the way for a democratic republic in Turkey.
Guerrilla writes epics in the mountains of Kurdistan. The guerrillas did not allow the invading genocidal Turkish state to achieve their goals. The guerrilla defeated the target of the Turkish state. It wasn’t just the guerrilla who stood up against it. Leader Apo, our people and the guerrillas united against the occupation, this destroyed their plans for liquidation and genocide.
WE DID NOT ALLOW OCCUPATION
It did not allow the genocidal Turkish state to completely occupy the South, nor did it allow it to achieve its goal of Missak-ı Mile. Just as the guerrilla and Leader Apo are resisting and writing epics, our people must resist everywhere and increase the resistance. Our people should turn the Newroz area into an area of resistance and victory. It is known that under the most difficult conditions in Amed prison, everyone said that nothing would happen, nothing could be done. But a great victory was won under the leadership of Mazlum and Kemal. They dealt a great blow to the Turkish state. If we have come to these days, we came with that resistance and that spirit. Both our movement and our people have resisted in this spirit and won great victories under all circumstances. Our people have never accepted a life without dignity, identity and status. It will not be accepted after that. Everyone should understand this. That’s what 50 years of resistance was built for. We must strengthen our national unity. All betrayals committed on behalf of the Kurds must be condemned and opposed. The spirit of Newroz never accepts spying and betrayal. Among the Kurds, spying and betrayal should not be accepted. Clean them up.
IT WILL BE THE YEAR OF FREEDOM FOR LEADER APO
We do not see and accept life without Leader Apo as life, our people always express this. Therefore, we will make this year the year of physical freedom, the year of freedom and dignity for Leader Apo. We walk on these principles, our march is a march of freedom. We will win in this march. I congratulate the holiday of all our people, friends and humanity. I wish you all success. Long live Leader Apo, long live the spirit of Newroz.
