“In the statement we made on February 5, 2023, we stated that a coordinated guerrilla action was carried out against the invaders in the Girê Hakkari area of Metîna, and that the enemy forces were dealt a heavy blow in this action. We stated that 7 of our comrades, who fought with great will, determination and self-sacrificing spirit in harsh winter conditions, were martyred and that we will share them with our people and the public when their identity information is clarified. Our martyred comrades are Roza Kerboran, Rûken Kobanê, Hekim Zana, Serhildan Kelasor, Numan Amed, Karasungur Kanîreş and Serhed Hesekê.
We express our condolences to all our patriotic people of Kurdistan, especially to the esteemed families of these heroic martyrs who marched with determination to drive the enemy out of the areas they occupied despite all the adverse winter conditions with a spirit of sacrifice.

As one of the regions where our freedom struggle first developed, Mêrdîn led the way in expanding the freedom struggle of our people by recruiting its most valiant sons as soon as it met the Apoist Movement. Especially the noble women of Mêrdîn joined the ranks of the struggle and undertook the leadership of the social revolution created in Kurdistan. Our comrade Roza was born in a family belonging to the patriotic Torî tribe in the Kerboran district of Merdin, where such a tradition of struggle and resistance prevails. Our comrade Roza, who ran to the battle positions without a moment’s hesitation against the enemy attacks against the Heftanîn area, where she had meaningful comradeships, fought for the same purpose with many of our valuable comrades and knew herself again, took part in many actions that dealt a heavy blow to the enemy. Our comrade Rûken was born in the city of Kobanê, which is now known all over the world for his resistance and heroism, to a family belonging to the Kêtikî tribe. Our comrade Rûken, who did not know the Apoist movement much and only heard its name, had the opportunity to see and get to know the Apoists closely during the Kobanê Resistance process in 2014. He saw that the stance, speech, behavior, approach and comradeship of the Apoists were very different from ordinary people and was deeply affected. Our comrade Rûken admired the courageous fight of the Apoist Fedayeen, and especially of the free Kurdish women. As a Kurdish woman, she decided to join the Apoist movement in order to gain the same virtues and to realize the exaltation in her personality.
Our comrade Rûken, who joined the ranks of the party, started her first guerrilla practice in Medya Defense Zones, became a guerrilla and joined the PKK’s free life of comradeship. As she experienced comradeship relations, she gained morale and became stronger with this morale. At the same time, she read Rêber Apo’s ideas, received training, concentrated and got to know the reality of Leadership more closely. The freedom and struggle opportunities that Rêber Apo created for women in the mountains of Kurdistan inspired a great sense of devotion and gratitude towards the Leader. The more she looked at Rêber Apo’s great power of thought, the work she gave for women and oppressed peoples, the more she became attached to Apoist ideology. With this feeling and consciousness, she remained in practical areas and carried out guerrilla activities in the Zagros. After 5 years of practice, she received military specialization training to deepen and become more competent in guerrillaism and graduated as a guerrilla expert in sniping tactics. She stayed in the academy studies for two years in order to pass on what he received in the military academy to his comrades, during this time she helped her comrades to develop, on the other hand, she made herself more competent.
Our comrade Rûken gained an important level as an expert guerrilla, also transferred to the free women’s military academy and became involved in the training process in order to deepen in free women’s guerrilla and YJA Star command and become professional in every sense. Our comrade physician was born and raised in a patriotic family in the Dêrik district of Mêrdîn. Being born and growing up in a family and environment that is committed to social values, our comrade Physician developed his commitment to his core values at an earlier age. Comrade Physician, who witnessed at an early age the cultural and physical genocide policies implemented by the colonialist and fascist Turkish state against the Kurdish people, as well as growing up in such an environment, was greatly angered by these policies. Comrade Physician, realizing that there can be no gain without fighting against these policies, brought to consciousness the great anger he had accumulated in the face of the massacres carried out against the Kurdish people and decided to make the ground for struggle.
As one of the thousands of honorable Kurdish youth, he came to the aid of his people after ISIS and its derivatives attacked the Kurdish people and carried out great massacres by the fascist, genocidal Turkish state in 2014. SERHILDAN KELASOR
Our comrade Serhildan was born in the Siwêreg district of Riha, in a farmer and patriotic family belonging to the Izoli tribe. Siwêreg district is one of the resistance centers where the Apoist Movement first developed and recognized the freedom struggle in the person of the leader cadres of the Apoist Movement such as Kemal Pir, Mehmet Karasungur and Cuma Tak comrades. This is why the Siwêreg Apoist Movement has been a field of struggle where sympathy and deep devotion have developed. No matter how many attacks the Turkish state developed against the Siwêreg people during and after the September 12 fascist coup, they could not reduce the impact of the Apoist Movement in the hearts and consciousness of the Siwêreg people. Our comrade Serhildan grew up with the deepest patriotic feelings in such a field of struggle. He studied for 12 years but saw that there is no place for a free Kurd in the Turkish state system, He saw that this system, which was established to put the Kurdish people through genocide, must be fought against. Like a tree growing on its roots, he followed the footsteps of Ali Çiçek, Halil Çavgun and Cuma Taklar and participated in revolutionary youth work. He acted with the mission of pioneering in these works and did not hesitate to show all kinds of sacrifices.
He joined the ranks of the struggle in the process when ISIS gangs attacked Kobanê with the support and guidance of the Turkish state in 2014 in order to accelerate the march of revolution and to fight stronger. Comrade Serhildan, who participated in the revolutionary struggle in Kobanê, took a very active part in the struggle against ISIS, which saved all humanity from a great trouble and opened the door to a more hopeful future for humanity. He participated in many actions and moves, walked on the front lines with his high courage, was seriously injured twice, but despite all this, he returned to his duty as soon as he recovered.
In addition to being a brave and combative revolutionary, our comrade Serhildan also improved himself in the health branch and took place in the ranks of the struggle as a healthcare revolutionary. Our comrade Serhed was born in Hesekê, Rojavayê Kurdistan, in a patriotic family. With these accumulations, he made deep concentrations on the richer use of guerrilla tactics. Our comrade Serhed, who also brought the enemy’s war style to consciousness in a short time, also specializes in taking the necessary measures against the developing attacks. After staying in the Zap area for a while, our comrade Serhed moved to the Metîna area and practiced in the Metîna area for a long time. He was mostly found in Girê Hakkari and Çarçêl areas, and he played an important role in the preparation of these areas for a possible war situation. He actively participated in many works from infrastructure works to the preparation of war tunnels. With the suggestions he developed, he ensured that the war preparations were continued in a more qualified way, and in this sense, he always tried to fulfill the requirements of his pioneering duty. He has been one of our comrades who led the resistance against the enemy’s attacks on the Girê Hakkari area in 2022. Since he knows the Girê Hakkari area very well, he made important contributions to the actions that took place. He took part in many stages of the actions, from the preparation to the organization of many actions. But he always wanted to take part in these actions, and he insisted on this. As a result of these insistence, our comrade Serhed, who participated in the comprehensive action against the enemy positions in Girê Hakkari on February 2, 2023, Like his other comrades, despite all the difficulties, he insisted on expelling the enemy from Girê Hakkari, risking all kinds of sacrifices for this. Our comrade Serhed, who once again showed his participation in this action with the style of self-defense in this action, reached martyrdom by fighting the enemy until his last breath for absolute victory.
