I WILL FOLLOW ZİLAN AND SEMA
Guerrilla Avend Andok explains in her diary what the struggle for freedom means to her: “I can say that I experienced the purest feelings and human values in the guerrilla areas. This was enough for me to fall in love with guerrilla life all my life. In the most difficult conditions, my will became stronger. My will found meaning through the love of freedom. After I joined the guerrilla, my dreams of freedom got bigger. The main thing that sustains me is the ideology of the Leadership. That’s why I always tried to improve myself on the basis of the Leadership ideology. The guerrilla struggle led by women has reached its highest stage. As women, we have succeeded in improving ourselves in every field. This was thanks to our pioneering female comrades.
As a young woman who follows the truth, I will follow comrades Zilan and Sema. All my life, I always aim to be a part of the truth by following the footsteps of those heroes. The lives of self-sacrificing comrades like Zilan and Sema further strengthen my bond with human values. That’s why I decided to join the special forces. This decision was an opportunity for me to embrace the reality of martyrs. Heval Zilan sacrificed himself for the future of this people and the Leadership.
Comrade Zilan is a truth that grows with freedom. For this reason, thousands of women struggle in the field of struggle and in its footsteps. Today’s resistance is no different. Each of the warriors in the positions is fighting for existence and non-existence with the awareness of this. They join the resistance with great faith and a will of steel. I am also in this process, and I want to take my place and play a role in this struggle. My claim is clearer than ever, and I will be a part of that truth.”
