NEWS CENTER – Attacks with poison gas on girls’ schools in Eastern Kurdistan and Iran are increasing. In just one day, 80 girls’ schools were attacked. KCR called on the youth to take to the streets against the attacks. Since the end of November 2022, girls’ schools have been attacked with poisonous gases in many cities of Iran and Eastern Kurdistan. According to the data, more than a thousand female students have been poisoned and taken to hospitals.
According to reports, 80 girls’ schools in different cities of Iran and Eastern Kurdistan were attacked only yesterday.
Until now, in the provinces of Kirmashan, Urmiya, Sine, Ilam, as well as the cities of Haftekeli, Khuzistan, Tehran, Sefadesht, Şehiryar, Perend, Kiwar, Qum, Kerec, Lahijan, Rasht, Hamedan, Kebuderaheng, Tabriz, Semirum, Kashan, Zanjan. , Bicnurd, Esfahan, Birujerd and several other cities of Iran, hundreds of female students were exposed to poisonous gases and they were taken to hospitals.
Against the attacks, the activists of Iran and Eastern Kurdistan say that the attacks are revenge against women and that there are parties in power behind the attack. Regarding the attacks, the East Kurdistan Youth Association announced in a statement that the poisoning of the female students who led the ‘Women, Life, Freedom’ rebellion is the same as the chemical weapons attacks on the Kurdistan guerrillas. The same statement was said; “Because the use of all kinds of chemistry, a fascist and patriarchal culture that started with Hitler and Saddam, continues now with Erdogan and Khamenei.”
KCR called on the children and families of the students not to stay silent against the attacks and to take to the streets together. On the other hand, activities for March 8 continue throughout Iran and Eastern Kurdistan. In this context, the Light Martyr Committee in Bokan announced that they will fight for their goal until the ‘Women, Life Freedom’ rebellion is achieved.
Yesterday, Urmia Women’s Committee in a message requested all the women of Eastern Kurdistan and Iran to stand up against the Iranian regime and gain freedom.
