BEHDINAN – In a written statement published by the PKK Solidarity with Families of Martyrs Committee, Raperîn Amed, one of the leading figures of the Kurdish Women’s Movement, was martyred. While continuing to serve with great devotion, he joined the caravan of immortals as a result of the air attack carried out by the invading Turkish state.
“In Kurdistan, which has witnessed a great heroic struggle for half a century, we greet every day with the legacy of resistance left by many of our heroic martyrs. The days we are in inscribe important moments in our history of struggle. The architects of these moments were of course our heroic martyrs who knew how to write history. Martyrs are the power of a people to keep themselves alive, the source of life and the world of meaning. This is much more so in the reality of PKK martyrdom. The fact of martyrdom of women in the PKK makes this truth even more vital. We owe these days, in which we continue the most comprehensive resistance in our history that developed under the leadership of women, to the high sacrifice spirit our martyrs displayed in their resistance. Martyrdom is the manifestation of great sacrifice, courage and faith. It is the most realistic proof of the birth of our party in the reality of Kurdistan along the democratic nation line. It is the most obvious proof that the ideas developed by Leader APO will not only be verbal, but will be implemented under all circumstances and victory will be created.
Raperîn Amed-Delal Azizoğlu, one of the brave and distinguished daughters of Amed, who spent a lifetime struggling in the footsteps of great lives on the basis of this truth, and one of the steadfast pioneers of PKK and PAJK militancy, commemorates our comrade Amed-Delal Azizoğlu with respect and gratitude, and all the martyrs of the revolution in his person, especially our dear patriotic Azizoğlu family. We express our condolences to the people of Kurdistan and to our revolutionary democratic friends. While renewing our promise to realize every moment under the command of our martyrs, we express that we will certainly lead their struggle to victory. It is the most obvious proof that the ideas developed by Leader APO will not only be verbal, but will be implemented under all circumstances and victory will be created.
BACK TO KURDISTAN
Comrade Raperîn Amed, one of the pioneers of the Kurdistan Women’s Freedom Movement, was born in 1969 in a patriotic family in the Farqîn district of Amed, the stronghold of the resistance. Comrade Raperîn, who moved to Ankara with her family in 1977, studied primary, secondary and high school in Ankara. During the long years she stayed in Ankara, she met with the national contradictions stemming from the Kurdish identity in her secondary school years. The approaches and treatments she faced, especially because of her name being Delal, deepened her contradictions and led to the development of her searches on the basis of identity awareness. On this basis, she turned to Amed, the heart of Kurdistan, and refused to study in the schools of the system, despite all the insistence of her family to continue her education, rather than staying and studying in Ankara, the capital of Turkey.
FIND THE ANSWER TO THE SEEK FOR FREEDOM ON THE LEADERSHIP AREA
After returning to Amed, she had the opportunity to get to know the Kurdish Freedom Struggle, which developed under the leadership of the PKK, and thus joined the PKK ranks in the province of Amed at the end of 1992. She made her first guerrilla activity in Amed State. She then continued her guerrilla struggle in the Medya Defense Zones. Raperîn friend, who has been in an uninterrupted struggle since his participation, is also actively involved in the works in the four parts of Kurdistan and Europe.
Friend Raperîn, who moved to the Leader’s Field in 1996, had the opportunity to learn and get to know the PKK struggle, as she puts it, “from the owner of the PKK”. Raperîn friend, who stayed in the Leadership field between 1996-1998, deepened her identity and consciousness of women with the training she received from the Leadership. She finds the answers to the contradictions she experienced about female identity at an early age and his search for freedom in the ideology and philosophy of the Leadership. She participates in public works in Aleppo in order to spread the ideological and philosophical deepening in the practical field and to ensure a strong public and women’s leadership. After that, she had a continuous march as a strong militant and pioneer of the women’s freedom line and struggle.
RETURNED TO THE MOUNTAINS IN 2005
Comrade Raperîn stayed in Europe between 2000-2005, took an active part in studies there as well. Especially in this process, she had a strong stance and struggle in the European field against liquidationism. She played the role of militant and pioneer in the PKK line, and participates very strongly in the PKK’s rebuilding efforts in Europe. In 2005, she returned to the mountains, which are places of freedom, and attended a training session at the PKK Hearth. She saw the education she received during the rebuilding of the PKK and PAJK as a process of rebuilding herself. After this training, she took part in Science Enlightenment and Political Committee studies. She remains in the field of Rojhilat in 2006-2007, and in 2008 the PÇDK is organized for women’s studies and works actively in these studies for more than a year.
GREAT WORK FROM ROJAVA TO SENGAL
In 2011, she was elected to the Kongra-Gel Presidency Council. KONGRA-GEL, in which Leader APO participates on the basis of the perspectives of the Democratic Confederalism system, gets stronger and deeper in her work. In particular, the assembly is particularly interested in the work of commune organization, and it experiences a concentration process that also researches and examines the programs, laws and by-laws. With this concentration she lived, she held numerous meetings and conducted training activities for the people and staff for the construction of communes and assemblies. From Rojava to Shengal, she made great efforts for the construction of a democratic nation paradigm. Believing that democratic autonomy is the most appropriate system for the construction of a free society, heval Raperîn took a close interest in our Yazidi people. Our comrade Raperîn Amed examines the cultural richness of Kurdistan with great care, she considered the culture of resistance, which has been resurrected in Shengal with the Apoist philosophy, as a big step towards the liberation of the Kurdishness, which is in the grip of genocide. On this basis, integration with the life of the people, flowing into the same channel in emotion and mind, takes a vital stance in heval Raperîn.
Comrade Raperîn spent great effort and effort to make it practical and to make the paradigm vital in every environment she went to, in every speech, every word she went with his great belief in the Democratic Nation paradigm. She was the owner of a unique effort to develop the democratic theory of modernity. She has always considered women’s and youth work as her top priority. Throughout the history of the struggle, wherever she went, she showed the party’s militant self-sacrificing spirit and struggle in the strongest way possible. She has always set an example in her life with her principled and modest participation. She waged a great struggle against the genocide and the attacks on the Leadership. No matter what, it was always based on the party’s collective, participatory lifestyle. She became a keen fighter for the widespread and vitalization of the Democratic Nation paradigm.
FIGHT AGAINST BACKWARDS UNDERSTANDINGS IN EVERY AREA
She left a mark in all four parts of Kurdistan and in every area where the people of Kurdistan lived, wherever she went, with her struggle, participation, effort, modesty and pioneering stance. She became the owner of a march that walked in the truth of leadership, believed in the truth of freedom wholeheartedly, and raised morale and motivation for this. At the same time, she fought at the forefront against the dominant mentality, backward-traditional understanding and stances everywhere. She took the line struggle as a basis without hesitation without ever getting into individual concerns. With her organized stance, disciplined lifestyle and participation, she played a large role in management work. She managed to become a female militant, living and keeping her natural revolutionary personality traits and character alive. In this sense, with no backwardness, she did not live with a non-party mentality and took a stand against such understandings in the environments she was in. With her simple and honest personality, as well as her solid and organizational stance, she also succeeded in being a strong representative of the PKK and PAJK identity. In this sense, she lived every moment of the freedom struggle with the martyrs and the truth of the Leadership. She was a true militant who reinvented herself, as if against all setbacks.
Our comrade Raperîn, who set an example of incalculable participation, a high belief and determination in the line of Leader APO all her life, joined the caravan of immortals as a result of the air attack carried out by the invading Turkish state, while continuing to serve her people with great devotion on 17 June 2022 in the Medya Defense Zones. Once again, we commemorate all martyrs of the revolution with respect and gratitude in the person of Raperîn Amed friend, and we promise that the fascist, invading and genocidal Turkish state and its treacherous collaborators will definitely be held to account.”
