HASEKÊ – Young Women Students of the democratic student movement, made a statement in support of young women in Iran and Eastern Kurdistan who are facing cruel and toxic acts in the continuation of the “Women, Life, Freedom” Rebellion. The announcement was made today, April 13, 2023 at the Movement Center of Democratic Students in Rojava Kurdistan in the city of Hesekeh and was read by Narin, a member of the Democratic Students Movement.
ʹLet us always support the Eastern Rebellions and Iran with the dignity of Jin Jiyan Azadi.’
In the statement, it was stated that the role of students and young women in the “Women, Life, Freedom” Uprising is significant. Based on this principle, young women are facing the unceasing brutality of the Iranian regime and it was said:
“For the general public
The Iranian state is carrying out massacres against the uprisings of the people of Iran and Eastern Kurdistan. The Iranian regime is using various methods to silence the rebellions that are growing under the leadership of women and with Leader Apo’s slogan “Jin Jiyan Azadi”. Because of this, many young women who led this rebellion were executed in the most brutal way in front of all humanity. However, the fascist state of Iran did not stop with these acts. The last one was the poisoning of female students who played a leading role in that uprising and because they did not remain silent against the brutality of Iranian fascism.
We, as a movement of democratic students, do not accept this act, that’s why we join the campaign “‘Jin Jiyan Azadî Ser bixe Azadî (Women Live Freedom Win Freedom)”. In order to raise the voice of the women of Iran and Eastern Kurdistan, we will always be in the fields as young women who are students.
The students stated in the statement that for 44 years, the Iranian state has been arresting, killing and executing as a way of protecting its regime and pointed to the poisoning of female students and said: “This is certainly not a random or accidental target for the Iranian regime. So far, students of more than 500 schools have been exposed to chemical gas attacks in Eastern cities such as Sine, Mehabad, Ilam, Kirmashan, Saqiz, Mariwan, and Bokan, and in Iranian cities such as Tehran, Qom, Isfahan, Kerej, and Shiraz, and more than 9 thousands of students have been poisoned. Among them, at least 5 people lost their lives. Some of them are university students, but most of them are secondary and preparatory schools.
As female students, we do not accept this violence and poisoning of students, and we do not stand idly by. We will always support the Women’s Freedom Movement.
Long live Rêber Apo!
Long live the movement of women, life, freedom!
There is no life without the leader!
Women! Life! Freedom!”
