BEHDINAN – Beritan Haki, one of the YJA Star guerrillas, defined the birth of the Kurdish People’s Leader as the birth day of all peoples, especially women, and drew attention to the importance of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan for women’s freedom with the following words; “For us women, the leadership has become eyes that see and ears that hear. Thanks to the Leader, we got to know the slavery that has been imposed on us for thousands of years, and we sought to get rid of it. The way the leadership has set before us is to fight slavery and the backwardness imposed on women.
Our leadership has been resisting with great sacrifice in the Imrali isolation system for 25 years. The Imrali isolation system is the prototype of the state system, and has been applied to our Leadership as the most organized state of the state throughout history. In this sense, April 4 is the rebirth of women and different beliefs into hope in the face of all state systems.”
‘THE MOST MEANINGFUL BIRTH’
Bager Kurdistan, one of the HPG guerrillas, described the birth of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan as the most meaningful birth, stating that with the birth of the Kurdish People’s Leader, the Kurdish people re-emerged with both history and language.
Zilan Aydın, one of the YJA Star guerrillas, expressed the following regarding the birth of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan; “April 4 is the day of rebirth. It is the birth of women and peoples. We welcome this day with great enthusiasm, excitement and joy. The fact that the Leader is not with us today is the biggest self-criticism for us. Our Leader has been kept in the Imrali isolation system for 25 years in the most severe conditions. As YJA Star guerrillas, we support our Leadership. We claim to physically liberate it. There is a great resistance in the Media Defense Areas. We will continue our struggle to ensure freedom in this century.”
‘OUR ROOTS ARE IN THE MOUNTAINS’
Eylem Cudi, one of the YJA Star guerrillas, stated that she fought as a woman against colonization, plunder and fascism in the mountains and emphasized the following in her assessment: “The birth of our leadership gives us morale. Our leadership is our most basic morale source, our center of strength. We are resisting for humanity against the inhumane practices of colonialism and fascism, we are fighting to save the dignity of humanity. We women learned to resist from the Leader. The aim is to create a hopeful, beautiful life for all peoples, for the whole world. The leadership’s opinion is free. Leadership is the force that revives hope in us. Our leadership says that our roots are in the mountains. We find it very meaningful to resist in the mountains. We are following the Leader’s footsteps, we celebrate this day especially for children.”
Berbang Şeval, one of the YJA Star guerrillas, who stated that they got their will and resistance power from Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, continued her assessment with the following words; “The way to achieve victory is to absorb the ideas of the Leadership. Our claim is to turn this year into a year of victory.”
