BEHDINAN – KCK Executive Council Co-Presidency issued a written statement on the occasion of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan’s birthday on April 4th. Celebrating Abdullah Öcalan’s birthday, the KCK said, “It is very important to celebrate this historical and meaningful birth, which means rebirth and existence for the people of Kurdistan, with strong actions and events everywhere. The patriotic people of Kurdistan in the country and abroad, together with their friends, should welcome and celebrate April 4 on this basis.”
KCK invited everyone to join the celebrations on April 4 and plant trees everywhere.
KCK’s statement is as follows:
“We have entered the 75th anniversary of the birth of the Leadership on April 4, which represents the most meaningful day for the people of Kurdistan. We celebrate this meaningful and important day to all patriotic people of Kurdistan, women, youth, oppressed peoples of the Middle East and the world. While celebrating this meaningful day, we respectfully salute Rêber Apo, who saved the people of Kurdistan from extinction by starting the struggle for liberation and freedom. It is very important to celebrate this historical and meaningful birth, which means rebirth and existence for the people of Kurdistan, with strong actions and events everywhere. The patriotic people of Kurdistan in the country and abroad should welcome and celebrate April 4 with their friends on this basis.
APRIL 4 MEANS A NEW GROUND
April 4th has a great meaning for the people of Kurdistan. At a time when the people of Kurdistan were taken into the process of denial and annihilation under the genocidal colonial order and were made to believe that the end of this process was approached, Leader Apo made a historical objection and started a struggle that would reverse this process, get the people of Kurdistan out of the destructive wheel of genocidal colonialism and resurrect them. Leader Apo has devoted his whole life and existence to the development and success of this struggle, and has been the most concentrated, productive and laboring person of this struggle. With the new ideas he put forward, he laid the strong foundations for the formation of a new personality, consciousness and style that would liberate the Kurdish people and individuals by overcoming the colonial personality in Kurdistan. Leader Apo not only started the struggle for liberation from colonialism for the people of Kurdistan, but also created a new individual and social reality that would develop and build a free life in Kurdistan with the philosophy of freedom he developed. Because of these historical features, the birth and existence of Leader Apo represents a new milestone for the people of Kurdistan.
FIGHTING FOR THE FREEDOM OF LEADERSHIP OUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
The creators of the order of exploitation and genocide, and local, regional and international powers, who were disturbed by the struggle of Leader Apo to liberate the peoples and abolish exploitation, initiated by Leader Apo in Kurdistan and the Middle East, carried out the international conspiracy to prevent this process. Imrali, one of the conditions of captivity, was taken into the isolation and torture system. But Leader Apo spent the past 24 years as if to take revenge on all the captivity in history. It experienced a greater concentration in the conditions of captivity and as a result developed the manifesto of the age that would liberate peoples, women and all the oppressed. He made sense of all captivity; all kinds of political, social, He put before humanity a line of struggle and a perspective of free life that will eliminate cultural factors. He gave meaning to every second of life and revealed his stance of being the most valuable child of humanity. With this character, our leadership has made both our people and us the holders of the greatest honor. All humanity, our people and we are indebted to this leadership. It is our primary duty and responsibility to deeply understand and feel Rêber Apo, who brought all this to humanity, our people and us, and to fight for and ensure his physical freedom.
THE KURDISH GENOCIDE IS CONNECTED WITH THE Isolation ON THE LEADER
A deeper understanding of Leader Apo and the international conspiracy is needed. 24 years of captivity and heavy isolation are the result of the Kurdish genocidal policy of the genocidal colonial Turkish state. What makes the isolation so severe is Rêber Apo’s ideological and political stance, which is anti-system and wipes out the roots of regional reaction. International conspiratorial forces are not only partners in the conspiracy, but also in the genocidal system implemented by the Turkish state. This is clearly evident from the policies and practices. In this respect, the policy implemented on Rêber Apo in Imrali is a policy of genocide. International conspiracy, captivity and isolation are not just the approach applied to a Kurdish leader. What the Kurds are up against, what anti-Kurdish policies are and what they are aiming for can best be understood by looking at Imrali. Whatever special war is being waged for the Kurdish genocide, these policies are also being waged on Rêber Apo. Whatever the concrete policies implemented on Rêber Apo at the moment, the same policies are being applied to us as a movement and the people abroad. It is only the conditions and methods that differ. This reality needs to be better understood by us, the Kurdish people and the friends of the Kurdish people. We need to better understand the link between leadership captivity, isolation and the Kurdish genocide, and we need to take a stronger stance and struggle against it. We must act with the awareness that the struggle for the physical freedom of Leader Apo is the struggle against the Kurdish genocide and we must embrace Leader Apo more strongly. We should welcome and celebrate April 4 with this awareness and stance.
THE STRUGGLE AGAINST THE FASCIST REGIME MUST BE RISED
The deepening of isolation on Leader Apo by AKP-MHP, which has an anti-Kurdish mentality and character, reveals the link between the Kurdish genocide and isolation. The fascist AKP-MHP government represents the genocidal colonial mentality and aims at realizing the Kurdish genocide. The anti-Kurdish character of the AKP-MHP and its policies are now known by everyone. However, another important fact that should be known is that this was done by deepening the isolation on Leader Apo. This approach of the AKP-MHP reveals the reality of isolation and its relationship with the Kurdish genocide in all its reality. To make this fact more conscious,
LEADERSHIP ATTENDED WOMEN AND WOMEN’S FREEDOM
Rêber Apo has made efforts and struggled not only for the freedom of the Kurdish people, but also for the freedom and liberation of all oppressed peoples. Since she has such a thought and feeling, she has built a libertarian, ecological democratic socialist paradigm that appeals to and affects all humanity. Leader Apo’s paradigm based on women’s freedom and ecological mentality affects humanity wherever it is carried. The awareness that socialism cannot have a state, that there will be socialism with democratic confederalism, that peoples, women and all the oppressed can be free and live in such a system affects societies as one of the greatest mentality revolutions in history. One of the personalities who made the most effort to overcome the capitalist modernity that created today’s sick world and developed its mentality and formulas is Leader Apo. Rêber Apo found a cure for the sick world of capitalist modernity by developing a paradigm and democratic modernity line based on women’s freedom and ecological mentality. Leader Apo’s paradigm and democratic modernity line is the formula and mentality that will go beyond capitalist modernity and its understanding of democracy, which will serve to prolong the life of the ruling, exploitative and ruling class a little bit, and will be a solution to the crisis, crises and all ills of humanity.
One of the most important ways to correctly understand and celebrate April 4th is to understand Rêber Apo’s paradigm, ideology, understanding of freedom, democracy and new life more deeply and convey this to all humanity. This is the most fundamental responsibility of every Kurdish individual. Every Kurdish individual should understand more deeply the life, stance and ideas of Rêber Apo, who devoted his entire life to the freedom and liberation of the people of Kurdistan; It should work to carry the paradigm of peoples, women, the liberation manifesto of the oppressed, to humanity. We need to develop an international level of sensitivity and struggle against international conspiracy by developing such a study strongly.
We once again greet Leader Apo, who managed to become the right son worthy of humanity with his thoughts, stance, struggle and life, and his birth, and express our love and longing. We congratulate this meaningful birth to all patriotic people of Kurdistan, to the guerilla who was the sacrifice of Rêber Apo, to the patriotic youth of Kurdistan, to women, to the peoples of the Middle East and the world.
