BEHDINAN – HPG Press Center said, “Our mobile guerrilla teams targeted and struck the invaders in Metina and Xakurkê. The invading Turkish army continues its air and ground attacks on Medya Defense Areas without interruption.
Regarding the details of the actions taken and the attacks carried out by the invading army, HPG stated the following:
Metina region;
- The invaders in the Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area were targeted and hit with sabotage tactics during the night of 17 June. The number of punished and injured occupiers could not be clarified. After the action, helicopter mobility was experienced in the area.
Xakurke region;
- On June 18, at 12:30, the invaders in Girê Martyr Şahan were targeted with heavy weapons and hit accurately.
The attacks carried out by the invading Turkish army;
- On 16 and 17 June, Serê Metîna area of Metîna 2 times, Girê Cûdî and Girê Spring areas of Martyr Delîl West Zap region 3 times, Sinînê and Ava Lolanê areas of Xakurkê 3 times; It was bombed with warplanes 8 times in total.
- On 17 June, the Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area in Metîna was bombed 11 times by attack helicopters.
- On 17 and 18 June, the Sîda Resistance Area of Zap, the Girê Cûdî, Girê Amediyê and Girê Bahar Resistance Areas of the Martyr Delîl West Zap region, the Golka and Girê Hakkarî Resistance Areas of Metîna were bombed 196 times with howitzers, tanks and heavy weapons.
- The invading Turkish army attacked our positions in the Girê FM Resistance Area in the Martyr Delîl West Zap region on 16 and 17 June and is trying to demolish them with scoops and crushers.”
