BEHDINAN – Şiyar Şevger, one of the commanders of the Eastern Kurdistan Defense Units (YRK), made evaluations to the ANF regarding the invasion attacks of the Turkish and Iranian states. Noting that the attacks against the Kurdish people in four parts of Kurdistan continue uninterrupted, Şevger said that Iran, Turkey and Iraq agreed on the disarmament of the Kurdish freedom movements.
Pointing out that Iran and Turkey have decided to fight PJAK organized in Rojhilat (Eastern) Kurdistan, Şevger, one of the YRK commanders, continued:
“An agreement has been reached for Iranian intelligence to share information about PJAK with the Turkish state and for Turkish state forces to carry out attacks within the framework of this information. Our attitude towards this situation is clear; If a movement claiming to wage a revolutionary struggle stays and gives up the armed struggle, it means death for it. If he does not have the military and defense power in the century we are living in, if he cannot protect his society with his will and self-determination, his revolutionary struggle has no meaning.”
AIR MOBILITY INCREASED IN ROJHILAT
YRK Commander Şevger pointed out that the air mobility has increased in the Rojhilat areas recently, and said, “Reconnaissance planes are flying around our areas every day, the information collected is transferred to the Turkish state through the KDP and Iran, and then attacks against us take place. However, the Turkish and Iranian states have not achieved any results in these attacks and they are experiencing a defeat against our Apoist movement.
Noting that there were intense and all-out attacks in Rojava, Bashur, Bakur and Rojhilat, Şevger said, “We are resisting these intense attacks with great courage and faith, and we will continue to resist.”
Reminding the serhildan that took place last year in Rojhilat and Iran with the slogan ‘Jin, jiyan, azadi’ and resonated throughout the world, Şevger made the following assessment: “Our people waged a joint struggle with the Baloch, Azeri, Persian and Arab people against the oppression and tyranny regime. Many prices have been paid in the struggle that our people took part in with the ideas and philosophy of Leader Apo.”
WE FOLLOW THE ATTRACTION, THE STATE OF IRAN MUST ALSO
Stating that they acted within the framework of the ceasefire, Şevger said that although Iranian colonialism was in a state of activity in the recent periods, “We abide by the ceasefire, we expect the same situation from the Iranian state. We are fighting for our country, our people and the oppressed peoples and we are a defense force. We are for dialogue and solution, not for war. However, if there is an attack against our people, we will not leave it unanswered,” he said.
Şevger, who also called on the Iranian regime to “don’t come to the tricks and traps of the Turkish state”, stated that Iranian state forces have attacked in Merîwan recently and said: “Likewise, some attacks took place in Kosalan and they intend to settle on some hills there. But they should not forget; “We are guerrillas and we are all over Kurdistan. According to them, if they take certain hills and points, the guerrilla can no longer stay there. Taking these hills is a mistake. The colonial fascist Iranian state should not turn the ceasefire into an opportunity. Right now, our friends are trying hard not to attack.”
STAY AWAY FROM GUERILLA AREAS
Şevger, one of the YRK commanders, who stated that a dirty policy has come into play recently and some facts are being tried to be turned inside out, drew attention to the following issues: “They say; ‘Do not fight against Iranian colonialism’. We try to solve problems through dialogue. However, some local powers are trying to alienate the people against us by carrying out a dirty policy. Therefore, our people should be careful and sensitive to this policy.”
Noting that the Kurdish people should not take action against the places where the enemy wants to settle, Şevger called on the Iranian state’s paramilitary forces Besic and local collaborative forces to “stay away from guerrilla areas, avoid harming the freedom struggle and do not follow the guerrilla.”
Martyr ERDAL AMED WAS A SYMBOL OF RESISTANCE
One of the YRK commanders, Şiyar Şevger, also commemorated the freedom guerrilla Erdal Amed (Hesen Mihemedî), who was martyred in the air attack carried out by the Turkish state with unmanned aerial vehicles on Asos Mountain in the rural area of Gelale village on June 4, 2023. Reminding that Erdal Amed joined the freedom movement from Merîwan in 2013, Şevger continued:
“Heval Erdal, who was a Kurdish patriot before, was taken prisoner by the Iranian state forces and despite heavy torture, he did not say a word and joined the ranks of PJAK after he was released. Heval Erdal was a symbol of resistance against fascism, which wants to put our people in a oppression and persecution. We promise to increase the struggle to keep his memory alive. Meriwan youth should follow in his footsteps and not leave their weapons on the ground in order to protect this legacy of struggle.”
