Dear son of our Colemêrg people, our comrade Diyar Norşîn was martyred in the attack carried out by the invading Turkish state in Zap on October 20, 2021.
The invasion attacks launched by the genocidal colonialist Turkish state against Zap, Avaşîn and Metina areas since 2021 continue today. Our esteemed commander Comrade Diyar Norşîn, who welcomed the enemy in the Zap area from the first day of the attacks and ensured that heavy blows were dealt to the enemy from the very first moments of the invasion attacks, was also a veteran of the resistance that continues today. Our comrade Diyar, who is one of the leading commanders of the new period guerrillaism with the creative style and tactics he developed, has become immortal by handing us a great legacy of struggle and tasks that need to be accomplished.
We promise that we will raise the flag of revolution handed down to us by our comrade Diyar Norşîn, with the responsibility of being worthy of all our martyrs in his person, and that we will certainly realize his dream of free Kurdistan.
We express our condolences to our patriotic people in the Martyr Rustem Cûdî camp, and all the people of Kurdistan, especially the precious family of our comrade Diyar Norşîn.

Our comrade from the land was born in a patriotic family in the village of Marînos in Colemêrg. Due to the patriotism of his family and close circle, our comrade Diyar began to know our Party as a child. The fact that their close relatives joined the guerrilla ranks and that the guerrilla was dominant in all Botan and Colemêrg regions caused our comrade Diyar to be interested in the guerrilla. Seeing the guerrilla and touching them became the things he wanted most. The fact that our people, like our comrade Diyar and his precious family, came together around the PKK, seeing the guerrilla as the only force that would ensure their freedom, dealt a heavy blow to the genocidal policy of the enemy for decades. For this reason, the enemy tried to dissuade our people from their rightful cause by applying all kinds of pressure and violence. Thousands of our people, who did not compromise their honorable stance even for a moment, insisted on protecting their honor against these practices of the enemy, even at the cost of leaving their country. For this reason, tens of thousands of our patriotic people emigrated to Bashure Kurdistan and tried to establish a new life for themselves. Among these immigrants, there was the patriotic family of our comrade Diyar. Our people, who settled in Maxmur Camp after visiting a few camps, gave the most meaningful answer to the enemy by fighting with their heads held high like the rebellious mountains of Kurdistan, as they established a new life here. Our comrade Diyar spent his childhood in Maxmur Camp, where they had just settled. He went to school here and was educated in his mother tongue. He had the opportunity to live his own culture to the fullest and experienced the happiness of getting out of the enemy’s genocide and being himself. At the same time, he and his family felt great anger against the colonialist Turkish state because of the suffering, exile and massacres our people went through. He made sense of this anger by embracing its language, culture and historical values more. But he always reserved in his heart to join the guerrilla and hold the enemy accountable for his policies towards our people, and he looked forward to the day when he would do so. Our comrade Diyar, who decided to join the guerrilla ranks in 1999 in order to respond to the International Conspiracy against our Leader and the martyrdoms during the “You Can’t Darken Our Sun” actions, could not fulfill this request due to his young age. Continuing to concentrate thanks to his devotion to his cause, our comrade turned his face to the mountains of Kurdistan this time in 2001 and joined the guerrilla ranks.
Our comrade, who took the name of his uncle Diyar, who died in the field of Kato in the same year, was deeply conscious of the fact that his loyalty to the martyrs was due to taking over their struggle and enlarging it. Our comrade Diyar, who acted with this principle throughout his life of struggle, managed to become a competent guerrilla by improving himself day by day. Later, he continued his struggle as Diyar Norşîn, taking the name of our comrade Norşîn-Zahide Kurt, who was martyred in the Mêrdîn area in 2005. Our comrade, who was based on improving himself in the military and ideological sense with the training he received, experienced significant concentrations, especially thanks to his interest in military art. Our comrade, who knows that the attacks carried out by the enemy, especially against our Leader, against our people and the guerrilla, can only be responded to with a strong guerrilla resistance, As he got deeper into guerrilla tactics, he succeeded in developing rich action styles. Our comrade Diyar, who carried out guerrilla activities in the Garê area, especially in the areas of Metîna, Qendil, Zagros, Zap and Xakurkê, took part in the regions where the war was most intense until 2014, and engaged in a relentless struggle against the invaders. Our comrade, who took part in many actions against the invading Turkish army, became an exemplary militant for all his comrades with his courage, self-sacrifice and unwavering march on the enemy in these actions. Our comrade Diyar, who was rewarded by his comrades for his success in the actions he took, took as a basis to further develop his current participation with the morale and strength he received. Our comrade Diyar, who studied at the Mazlum Doğan Staff School in 2007 and at the Haki Karer Academy in 2012, these trainings were based on deepening the ideology and philosophy of the Leadership. Our comrade, who dealt with his personality within the framework of the Democratic, Ecological and Women’s Libertarian Paradigm developed by our Leader, tried to be a free individual and militant by eliminating the effects of the system on him with the deep concentrations he experienced.
After the ISIS gangs attacked Kobanê in 2014 and thus tried to strangle the Rojava Freedom Revolution, like thousands of other militants, our comrade Diyar went to Kobanê to protect both our people and the Rojava Freedom Revolution, which has become the hope of freedom for the peoples. Our comrade, who took part in the epic resistance developed against the gangs here, tried to do his duty properly against our people by fighting hand to hand with the enemy. Our comrade Diyar, who was injured in the stomach during the clashes, received treatment for a while. Our comrade, who spent the treatment process intensified, prepared himself for a more difficult struggle. Our comrade, who quickly healed his wounds thanks to his will to fight against the genocidal Turkish state, went back to Medya Defense Zones. After staying here for a while, this time he turned to Botan, the center of our guerrilla warfare. Our comrade, who adopted it as a principle to hold accountable for the massacres committed by the enemy against our people, especially during the Self-Government Resistance, joined the practice on the basis of great anger and accountability. Our comrade Diyar, who took part in many actions in the Botan area, avenged our martyrs with every blow he inflicted on the enemy, and showed with his successful practice that sooner or later the genocidal Turkish state will be held accountable. Our comrade Diyar, who returned to Medya Defense Zones for treatment from the botan area, received ideological and military training at Haki Karer Academy once again in 2018. Our comrade Diyar, who had the opportunity to question his 6-year practice and learn the necessary lessons from it, during this training process; He participated wholeheartedly in the restructuring of the guerrilla, revealing its shortcomings through the concentrations he experienced. Our comrade Diyar, who assumed important duties and responsibilities, moved to the Zap area as the regional commander. He successfully fulfilled all his responsibilities, from the construction of the war tunnels, which are the basis of the resistance that continues today in the Zap area, to the training of his comrades as Apoist militants. Our comrade Diyar, who organized many actions against the enemy’s attacks against Zap; He instilled his unwavering and carefree war style into his comrades, enabling successful actions to take place.
Our comrade Diyar, who is always on the move and looking for an opportunity to strike a blow against the enemy’s attacks on Avaşîn, Metina and Zap areas since 2021, has proven that Zap will be a fortress of resistance since then. Comrade Diyar Norşîn, who won the love and respect of all his comrades with his life, courage in the war and the value he gave to his comrades, was martyred in the enemy attack on the Zap area on October 20, 2021, and took his honorable place in the history of freedom of our people.
