NEWS CENTER – Tens of thousands of people took to the streets in the Cizre region for Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, whose health and life were feared for more than two years. The freedom of Abdullah Öcalan was demanded in the demonstrations in nine centers in the cantons of Qamishlo and Hesekê.
QAMISLO
The march for this purpose in the city center of Qamishlo started at Soni Junction. S. The slogan “Bê Sêrok Jiyan Nabe” did not listen during the march towards Rubar Qamishlo Junction.
After the march, PYD Cizre Region Party Assembly Co-Chair Mistefa Ehmed said in her speech on behalf of the activists that Abdullah Öcalan represents humanity and democracy, and that the will of the peoples is tried to be broken in his person.
Ehmed said, “The revolutionary struggle against the invading Turkish state’s policies will continue.”
Mistefa Ehmed said, “Leader Abdullah Öcalan’s philosophy is the only way to freedom. Today, we see Kurds, Arabs, Circassians, Assyrians and Turkmens shouting in the squares for Leader Abdullah Öcalan’s physical freedom and the construction of his democratic nation project.”
HESEKÊ
Thousands of people gathered at the Til Hecer Neighborhood Fire Brigade Junction for the march in Hesekê.
The action was ended with a statement at the Assyrian Church Junction. Faruq Tozo, Co-President of the Hesekê Canton Assembly, said, “The aim of the conspirators is to destroy the freedom and democracy movements. The invading Turkish state sees Leader Abdullah Öcalan’s ideas as its own end. However, by raising our struggle, we will nullify the policy of destruction.”
Hesekê Martyr Families Council Member Zozan Gul said, “If our Leader’s life is in danger, we will turn the world into hell. “There can be no life without a Leader, we will form a circle of fire around our Leader,” he said.
DÊRIK
Thousands of people marched from Freedom Square to the center of the bazaar in Derik.
The slogans “Bê serok jiyan nabe” and “Azadiya Rêber Apo azadiya gelan e” were chanted throughout the march.
Making a speech after the march, PYD Member Hisên Elî said, “The enemies of the peoples should know well that Leader Abdullah Öcalan’s philosophy is our basic principle. We will continue our struggle until the physical freedom of the Leader is achieved.”
Speaking at the same event, Kongra Star Member Şadiya Yûsif emphasized that they would increase the struggle by reacting to the silence of the international community against the Imrali torture and isolation system.
TIL BIRAK
The march in Til Birak district started in front of Ali bread oven. The banner “Azadî û edalet ji Rêber Abdullan Ocalan re” was unfurled during the march that continued until the district center.
District Council Member Yemame Mehmud in the district center condemned the international silence against the isolation.
Mehmud called for “Let’s raise the struggle until the physical freedom of the Leader is achieved”.
Til Birak Education Committee Member Mihemed Zêdan said, “We will stand against the special war policies carried out on our Leader with our pen.”
TIL TEMIR
The march, which started in front of the Martyr Families Assembly building in Til Temir district, continued until the Şehîd Sîdar District.
Til Temir Council Co-Chair Mihemed Seîd and Kongra Star Manager Ayhan Yûnis each made a speech at this action, while reacting to the heavy isolation and threatening letters on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, they called to increase the struggle.
DERBISIYÊ
The people gathered in front of the Hac Sultan Mosque in Dirbêsiyê district and marched to the district center. Mihemed Xelef, Co-Chair of the PYD Dirbesiye District Organization, said, “We will cut off every hand that will reach out against the health of our Leader. Whatever the cost, we will not give up on our Leadership.”
Kongra Star member Hojîn Hêrez also gave a speech and gave the message that they will always be on the ground against the isolation.
GIRKÊ LEGÊ
A statement was made by the District Council at Martyr Xebat Square in Girkê Legê.
Girkê Legê School Administration Co-Chair Lema Hisên spoke in Kurdish, and District Council Health Committee Member Ebdurezaq Şehade El Salim spoke in Arabic.
The statement condemned years of absolute isolation and anonymous threatening letters, while also reacting to international silence. In the statement, a call was made to the peoples of Northern and Eastern Syria to unite around Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
SEDADÊ
In Hesekê Canton, a march was held in Shedade. People from the districts of Hol, Deşîşa, Mergede and Şedade participated in this march. Speaking at the march that started in front of the District Council building and ended in the district center, Kongra Star Member Emir Seed stated that the free will of the peoples cannot be surrendered.
PYD Member Fadil El Ehmed called for the struggle to grow, saying, “The day is the day to ensure the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Öcalan.”
TIL HEMIS
A statement was made for the same purpose in front of the Cultural Center in Til Hemis District. PYD District Co-Chair Xalib Sedun pointed out that threatening letters were sent to Abdullah Öcalan on the centennial of the Treaty of Lausanne and said, “This shows that the Leader’s life is in danger. Pressures on his leadership are also directed against the peoples of Northern and Eastern Syria. “We call on international law and human rights institutions to stand up against the isolation,” he said.
