Dersim mentioned the importance of women in the formation of the revolution and said, “The woman who was so excluded by the society, the woman who was seen as worthless, found her strength with this revolution. They also recognized the will of the woman, she had an idea, and she became the center of attraction of life with her ideas. As women, our shelter is the mountain. The place of our protection is the mountain, the place of self-knowledge is the mountain. My call to all young men and women in search of freedom, go to the mountains. As it is known, the Rojava Revolution takes its foundation, ideas and philosophy from Leader Apo. Because everyone knows that Leader Apo first stepped into Kobanê. He first came to Kobanê after passing through Northern Kurdistan. Undoubtedly , this had a great place in the revolution.. It started in the city of Kobanê when the Rojava revolution started. The city of Kobanê may have been a very small city, but it is also the place of epics, heroes, and martyred comrades who fought, resisted and won against brutal attacks. That’s why the Rojava revolution had a really big impact not only on the Kurdish people, but also on the peoples of the world. We also know that Leader Apo’s ideas and philosophy, Leader Apo’s 20 years of work in Rojava Kurdistan, and then the fruit that Leader Apo planted here in 2012 yielded its fruit. Women, who have always been ignored, stood up on the day the Rojava revolution was founded, and it was a great response to all the mentalities that said women cannot do it .
Especially in Rojava Kurdistan, the women who faced the attacks of the feudal mentality and the male mentality, took part in this revolution and had a greater impact on both Kurdish women and women of the world . Young women have played a role from the beginning of the revolution to the present day , therefore young women should play a role in every step of the revolution. But it became the ideological, thought and life force of women. The woman, who could not talk to a man, a man, and could not participate in this life of her own will, with her own opinion, has become a great will today. We ourselves grew up in this revolution as children , when the revolution started we were small and did not know much. The first thing we knew was Leader Apo. Before we got to know the revolution, we knew Leader Apo. Thanks to patriotic families, people have recognized the values that Leader Apo has created in our society for years . This was a big contradiction for us . Where is Leader Apo now? How is Leader Apo now? We may be children, but this has always been a point of questioning for us . When we got our answer, when we learned that Leader Apo was in prison, on an island, under enemy pressure, this aroused our hatred. Let’s grow up and hate this enemyWe have grown our grudge against him since our childhood . Why is a person who created life in the hands of the enemy today? Why is this person who wants freedom being arrested? These were the fundamental questions for us to grow up with these inquiries and join this revolution .
We were very impressed when the Rojava revolution took place . In the past, we could not speak in our own language , we could not act of our own will. We used to live in our own clothes , but when this revolution started, we just learned who we are, where we are, where we are in the world . World. What is Kurdishness , Kurdistan, this was a place of inquiry for all of us . Like Arın, Gelhat, Zehra, Dilovan and Mahmud in the Kobanê war, they fought unique battles in Kobanê, and many more comrades, all of them, became pioneers for the women of Rojava Kurdistan and the world .
It was like a dream for all of us. We wanted to be able to claim that value and to protect and protect the value that Leader Apo built . Once a value is established, if that value is not maintained, it will always face attacks. The foundation of the Turkish state, which even today holds a great grudge against Rojava, is based on this. They want to attack the value established by Leader Apo, the value of martyred comrades .
A sovereign state never wants a free society to live . He never wants a child to speak of his own free will, to learn in his own language. For this reason, the Turkish state wants to continue its occupation . For this reason, the Turkish state wants to impose its mentality everywhere. Therefore, what is required of us is to take care of this revolution and to protect these values . As young women and youth, we have seen many martyred friends and heroic comrades in Rojava, so we have only one road ahead of us; And those who took this weapon in our hands and who existed in the line of Leader Apo and martyrsWe must strengthen our struggle against oppression. Because we all know that Leader Apo always said, “The people of Kurdistan should protect themselves and fight the current attacks with great will”. Because the people of Kurdistan have always faced genocide until today. Leader Apo changed the fate accepted by the Kurdish people. Leader Apo changed what was said to be impossible . Leader Apo made the dried tree green again for the Kurds . Today the whole society lives under this tree. This is a place for us to hold on and walk.
Why don’t we kill the enemy who kills us every day?
When the war started in Rojava, when we couldn’t take up arms, when we couldn’t defend ourselves, when we couldn’t resist the current attacks of DAESH, it hurt us a lot. Why can’t we protect ourselves? Because we were not taught. Why can’t we defend ourselves by raising those weapons and responding to the enemy? Because we didn’t know how to use this weapon. We did not know the value of our land. We didn’t know that land had such a great value. After seeing so many martyrs, we understood this. This aroused great hatred in me as a human being . Why do we have guns and bury it in the ground ? Why do we hide ? Why don’t we learn ? Why don’t we protect ourselves? Why do we hold our finger against the enemy who killed you?don’t we put it on the trigger? Why don’t we kill the enemy who kills us every day? It was a matter of great ambition for us . It was essential for us to believe as women and to play our part in this revolution.
Because the saying of young women “you can’t do it, you own the house, you have to play your part in the house ” The woman’s strength and will are buried. The woman was buried, buried under the sheets. She is buried in the four walls , she is buried in the cemetery, she is buried . Leader Apo changed this fate. A woman can do it, a woman has great strength and willpower. Rêber Apo revealed this . This had a great impact on women in Rojava and the world in general. Today, the revolution in Eastern Kurdistan, where a unique resistance and struggle is carried out with the slogan of Women, Life and Freedom, takes its source from Rojava. Family is not just what you give to your mother, father, sister and brother. We found our family in Kurdistan.
This is what the system offers us. Think only of yourself, think of your private life, think of your family. But we saw the big family. Family is not just what you give to your mother, father, sister and brother. We found our family in Kurdistan. If your big family disappears, your little family will disappear too. If the big family is full, the small family is also full . We have faced this reality for years. So this is a big impact for us. Above all, we must protect our land. The fact that every young person joins the guerrilla ranks does not mean that he does not love his family. These participations are also to protect the family. It is to protect the family against existing attacks . For his land , for his landjoins . It contributes to a free life for a restricted life. The Rojava revolution also laid the groundwork for this. The value of this work cannot be taken away from the nation by the efforts of Leader Apo for 50 years . Because it was the idea of Leader Apo who did this job. We, the Kurdish youth, must first break the isolation imposed upon the Leader and liberate him physically in order to have this value as the youth of the Middle East and the world . Because only the Rojava revolution gains meaning with the presence of Rêber Apo. The architect of this revolution is Leader Apo. Because Leader Apo worked against everyone . From a 7-year-old child to a 70-year-old mother, Rêber Apo is for these people.worked. In order to protect Leader Apo, we must protect this revolution and physically liberate Leader Apo. Because the color of the revolution, the happiness of the revolution is even more meaningful with the presence of Leader Apo. That’s why I say it again as women, especially young women, because the main way we find our freedom, our will and our strength is the Rojava revolution.

Today, our comrades are fighting uninterruptedly in the war tunnels. They show incredible resistance to all attacks before they even turn their backs . All this is to build a free life.
Many comrades will be martyrs and will not be able to see a free Kurdistan, but the important thing is that they build a future for a society, they are building a future for the children of this country. Because our Party is not a Party that thinks only of itself. Our party is a party that thinks about the future. They don’t just think about today , they think about the future of the society. We must own this and protect this value. There is only one way to preserve this value, and that is to be in those free mountains . Because it is these mountains that give the people strength, enable the people to take this revolution and fly to freedom, and give enthusiasm to the people . We have always relied on those mountains from history until today, we will always trust those mountains, especially as women. Leader Apo says , “Whoever descends from the top of those mountains , the mountain is the place of the woman.” As women, our refuge is the mountain. The place of our protection is the mountain, the place of self-knowledge is the mountain. My call to all young men and women in search of freedom, go to the mountains.
