BEHDINAN – YJA Star Command Council Member Feride Alkan made assessments to ANF regarding the 15 August Initiative and the stage of the PKK’s 50 years of uninterrupted struggle.
Stating that the people’s resistance or people’s war in Kurdistan has a history as old as the history of colonialism, Alkan said that although the people’s war has been carried on successfully in a strategic line under the leadership of the PKK in the last 50 years, it has a long history. After the 50-year PKK process that started with Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, the Kurdish people are incomparably more conscious, organized, planned, more willful, faithful and strong. In particular, it has constantly struggled against the invaders in the last two centuries, namely the 19th and 20th centuries. Starting from the last quarter of the 20th century, we are now approaching the end of the first quarter of the 21st century. In the 20th century, our party has always been in a state of war under the leadership of the PKK. In this sense, we can say that the Kurdish people represent the reality of the people who are constantly fighting against the invaders. Today, it is in the position of the most combative, insurgent and warrior people in the world. The dimensions of this about our Leadership and therefore our freedom struggle are known, and it is now widely accepted that it is a society that has been reshaped in the PKK reality, both ideologically, philosophically, socially and politically, and has gained a mentality. However, we do not start everything with ourselves on behalf of our people just because this is the case, we act with the awareness that we continue to struggle on the basis of the Leadership line, inheriting our people’s resistance tradition and warrior past. In this sense, we can say that the Kurdish people represent the reality of the people who are constantly fighting against the invaders. Today, it is in the position of the most combative, insurgent and warrior people in the world.
As it is known, we, as the Kurdish people, faced great disasters in the last 100 years of the Ottoman Empire and the first 100 years of the Turkish Republic. The Ottomans tried to blame us Kurds for their disintegration. For this, he committed countless massacres against our people. He dispersed all of the autonomous Kurdish mirliks, which expressed independence in themselves, with oppression and cruelty. He exiled the Kurdish leaders, their families and hundreds of thousands of Kurds who acted with them, separated them from the paradise Kurdistan and left them to die in the deserts of Africa and Asia, longing for their country. They oppressed our Yazidi and Alevi people dozens of times just because of their beliefs, massacred them, captured their girls and women, sold them in slave markets, destroyed their sacred temples, exposed and defamed their worship. As if all this were not enough, we were subjected to even greater massacres as a people in the Republic of Turkey, which was founded on the remnants of the disintegrated Ottoman Empire, which was defeated by the imperialist states. Moreover, although they won the struggle against the imperialists, called the War of Independence, thanks to us Kurds, those who fought in Çanakkale, Sakarya, Anafartalar, İzmir, Gelibolu, Antep, Urfa, Maraş and defeated the imperialists. Kurdish soldiers, militias, women; that is, they built the Republic of Turkey by acting as if the Turkish nation or the Turkish nation had won the war alone, even though there was a whole Kurdish people, by manipulating the truth. Even now, if the martyrdom of Çanakkale is examined, it will be easily seen that the number of Kurds who lost their lives is more than half of the total losses in the war. In other words, we Kurds’ blood, soul, They tried to build a republic Turkey by appropriating the lands liberated through sweat to the Turkish nation and denying us, thus foreseeing our annihilation. They have been carrying out a policy of genocide against us on this basis for 100 years. In other words, it can be said that the Kurds of republican Turkey do not become powerful again, do not come together and live in Kurdistan as Kurds, so that they serve them as porters, servants and slaves of the Turkish nation, and their names become uncivilized, that is, ignorant or mountain Turks. and we have been subjected to physical, cultural and psychological genocide for 100 years so that they and humanity will be accepted as such. We were put in the grip of assimilation, which is a crime against humanity.” In other words, it can be said that the Kurds of republican Turkey do not become powerful again, do not come together and live in Kurdistan as Kurds, so that they serve them as porters, servants and slaves of the Turkish nation, and their names become uncivilized, that is, ignorant or mountain Turks. and we have been subjected to physical, cultural and psychological genocide for 100 years so that they and humanity will be accepted as such. We were put in the grip of assimilation, which is a crime against humanity.” In other words, it can be said that the Kurds of republican Turkey do not become powerful again, do not come together and live in Kurdistan as Kurds, so that they serve them as porters, servants and slaves of the Turkish nation, and their names become uncivilized, that is, ignorant or mountain Turks. and we have been subjected to physical, cultural and psychological genocide for 100 years so that they and humanity will be accepted as such. We were put in the grip of assimilation, which is a crime against humanity.” We were subjected to psychological genocide. We were put in the grip of assimilation, which is a crime against humanity.” We were subjected to psychological genocide. We were put in the grip of assimilation, which is a crime against humanity.”
THE 100TH YEARS OF THE REPUBLIC IS GENOCIDE FOR US, IT IS A DISASTER
Alkan said that the Unionist structure, fed with the Turanist mentality, decided to add Kurds and Kurdistan to themselves in order not to be stuck in Anatolia, which the imperialist states left as Ottoman leftovers at the end of the 1st World War, and continued his speech with the following words: they did. They went to Lausanne saying, “We have the same ambitions as our brothers of religion and lineage, the Kurds, we fought together against you and the Republic of Turkey will be our common homeland.” Thus, as the Kurdish people, they made us appear as part of the Turkish nation. In reality, they approached on the basis of the Unionist mentality and determined the ignoring of our existence as Kurds and our rapid Turkification at any cost as the basic strategy in the construction of the Turkish nation-state.
The Unionist Kemalist elite developed systematic perception operations from 1919 to 1923 in order to keep our people on their side and to give the imperialist states the appearance of being the only nation, and acted with a policy of disguise. However, after securing their jobs in Lausanne and declaring their republic, they revealed their true face with the 1924 constitution and started to develop the Turkish-style state-building based on the Kurdish genocide. That’s why we say that the Turkish Republic, which is entering its 100th year, means genocide for us Kurds, a century of disasters. Because, as the Kurdish people, we have been systematically subjected to both physical and cultural genocide for 100 years, just so that the Turkish nation-state can exist. As it is known, the Turkish mentality, which was openly expressed by the minister of justice in the first years of the Republic, “Turkey belongs to Turks and the only condition of life for non-Turks is to serve Turks”. This is the official state and the dominant Turkish nation mentality, perspective, behaviors and policies it shapes. However, if Turkey is the name of the Anatolian-Kurdistan geography occupied by the imperialists at the end of the 1st World War and the homeland established in this geography, it is the Kurds who saved these lands from occupation and gave hundreds of thousands of martyrs for this, so these lands called Turkey belong to the Kurds rather than the Turks.
Because in the ‘war of liberation’ every inch of the homeland (!) was drenched with the blood of the Kurds. In fact, there is no war won by the Turkish rulers or the Turkish nation on the lands of Anatolia-Kurdistan without the Kurds. Neither the war of independence nor the victories of Manzikert, Çaldıran, Ridaniye and Mercidabık belong to the Turkish rulers. History is clear with many documents that all these victories were achieved thanks to the alliances made with the Kurds and the active participation of the Kurds, therefore, they were Kurdish victories rather than Turkish ones in their true sense. And now the treacherous rangers, the contras who betrayed their own people, the agents, Anyone who wants to understand that without the collaborative KDP, the Turkish army -which is mostly composed of Kurds-can not have a single success anywhere, and that its lifespan will not exceed a few months in all occupied places, especially in Kurdistan, can be seen by anyone. Why did we feel the need to remind them all again? Because, as a people, we are resisting against this heinous conspiracy developed against us, against this imposition of great injustice and dishonor, against the disasters that have been inflicted upon us by the Turkish rulers for 200 years, and against the genocide that has been carried out systematically for 100 years.
In 1914 in Bitlis, in 1919 in Koçgîrî, in 1920 in Süleymaniye, in 1925 in Muş, Erzurum, Harput, Bitlis, Çewlik, Amed, in Sason until 1926, in Mutki in 1927. in 1926-1930 in Agirî, in Zîlan, in Rojhilat Kurdistan from 1915 to 1930, in Dersim in 1937-1938, in Mahabad in 1945-1946, from 1961 to 1975 As a people, we are resisting the denial-destruction policy of the invaders and the concept of genocide in Bashure Kurdistan until 1973, and in the whole of Kurdistan, which has been divided into four parts in the last 50 years under the leadership of Leader Abdullah Öcalan. In this sense, it can be said that there has been a people’s war in Kurdistan for 200 years. Maybe it is intermittent and disconnected both in terms of space and time, but in total, it is a people’s resistance, a people’s war, which is carried out incessantly against the invaders and the genocidalists. The fact that there have been problems with their leadership does not change the reality of the people’s war, the glorious people’s resistance we are waging against our enemies. Having to fight nonstop for 200 years, being in a state of resistance, systematically struggling with massacres, torture, executions, captivity, exile, hunger and poverty is a great honor that cannot be underestimated for a people.
THE KURDISH PEOPLE HAVE RECOVERED WITH THE PKK
The historical role of the PKK, and its real meaning, is that it has brought the Kurdish people, who are the real owners of the lands of Kurdistan, to an invincible line of struggle and a Leader who is determined to achieve success under all circumstances. In other words, with Leader Apo, the leadership problem of our people throughout the history of civilization from the Medes to the present has been resolved, a great leadership has emerged, and on the path determined by him, our people have sharpened their consciousness of freedom, gained will, and have achieved unity to a large extent, thus becoming the main fighting force against all kinds of reaction, especially the invaders. has arrived. What other explanation and meaning can there be for being the power that saved humanity from the ISIS disaster, which is the common product of male-dominated world reaction, as well as the glorious resistance of the invaders for 500 years against the genocidal policy?
Based on all these facts, we can say that there has been a people’s war against the invaders in Kurdistan for 200 years, albeit in different forms. However, the process in which this is carried out uninterruptedly and carried out in a planned and organized manner based on the people’s war strategy is a fifty-year period under the leadership of Leader Apo. And we must emphasize that in the seventies, when our Leader started the struggle, there was almost nothing left in the name of Kurdishness, especially in the part of Bakur under Turkish occupation and colonialism. There was no consciousness left in the name of Kurdishness, nor did it have the courage to own it.
Under the leadership of Mele Mustafa Barzani, the revival and growing hopes developed with the struggle carried out in Başûr since 1961, unfortunately, due to the great defeat and liquidation in 1975, the dreams of Kurdishness and the crumbs of hope were destroyed. At this very point, a great Leadership was born and together with the PKK, the Kurdish people, Kurdish women; In other words, we were resurrected as a whole Kurdistan society, we were able to fight quickly, we gained a revolutionary will. Thus, the people’s war against colonialism started again, and it has been continuing for fifty years without interruption, with a faith that pushes the limits of reason, stubbornly, perhaps at the greatest cost of history, with a passion for victory. Of course, the PKK started as a pioneer group’s struggle under conditions where hope, courage and consciousness were not abandoned for the sake of Kurdishness. However, since those who founded the PKK were the children of the poor, peasants and working people, that is, they were the people of the people, the struggle became people from the very beginning and gained the quality of a people’s war at the group stage. This is what the Hilvan Commune or Soviet refers to. The widespread participation of Kurdish women from the very beginning, the participation of Kurds from all walks of life means this.”
PEOPLE’S SUPPORT GROWN
Underlining that the character of the PKK struggle under the leadership of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan is people’s resistance-people’s war, which has been shaped from the very beginning, Alkan continued: i.e. he had to leave the country. Having to migrate from Kurdistan to the Middle East in order not to suffocate due to the fascist coup and to continue the struggle, the PKK-led people’s war was interrupted for a certain period of time. Because, under the conditions of the fascist junta of September 12, all of Kurdistan was turned into a torture chamber, it was carried out by dungeon laws, hundreds of thousands were imprisoned, public leaders and their organized structures were put into the throes of brutal practices in many dungeons, especially in the Diyarbakır Dungeon No. 5. In these conditions, although the people continued to resist at a certain level, they were mainly in an atmosphere of fear. Our Leader, who migrated to the Middle East, was trying to complete the preparations for the guerrilla war with a heartfelt effort and to return to the country on this basis.
Our freedom movement, which started to take shape under the leadership of our Leader in Ankara in 1973, moved to Kurdistan as an Apoist group in 1976, and became the PKK in Amed, the heart of Kurdistan in 1978, quickly turned into a people’s struggle. He was interrupted, albeit for a short time, due to his entry into the country, and experienced a state of emigration. He was able to return to the country in 1982, recovering on the basis of great difficulties, and started guerrilla warfare in 1984 as a result of our Leader’s intense efforts. What we want to point out here is, If the 1980 fascist junta had not existed, our struggle would have developed predominantly in the form of a people’s war based on the plains, as in the Hilvan Commune, which took place in 1978 with a great historical significance, and would spread to the whole Kurdistan at the earliest time, leading to other communes and gradually turning into a union of Kurdistan communes. However, due to the difficulties created by the fascist junta conditions, it was shaped as an ongoing struggle in the form of a guerrilla war in the mountains of Kurdistan, first in the Middle East and then in the mountains of Kurdistan.
The guerrilla war represents a great historical step against colonialism in occupied Kurdistan, a resurgence, a great determination, courage and will of steel against the genocidal fascist state. That’s why the August 15 breakthrough went down in our history as a resurrection revolution and represented the fulfillment of the great longing that our people had expected for hundreds of years. In this sense, it tells the story of our people who re-created themselves from the ashes of the guerrilla war that started on August 15. The Kurdistan Liberation Forces (HRK), which started the guerrilla war in Botan under the leadership of our people’s Egîd, our legendary commander, Mahsum Korkmaz, and announced the glorious 15 August offensive to everyone, friends and foes, was restructured as the Kurdistan People’s Liberation Army (ARGK) within two years. Thus, whatever the difficulties and circumstances, the spirit, consciousness, belief, The line of guerrilla warfare with willpower took shape. The guerrilla warfare, which left the occupying fascist state in shock and fear, spread rapidly to the mountains of Kurdistan, and its development could not be stopped despite all-round NATO support. Guerrilla warfare was pioneer warfare and our people were in a position to complement, feed and support it. With the influence of Leader Apo’s leadership, our guerrilla warfare rapidly became popular in Botan and grew and spread as it became popular. The guerrilla support of our people grew like an avalanche in the 1990s. In an instant, the number of guerrillas increased to ten. In particular, due to the intense participation of women, ARGK gained a completely different quality and in 1993 gave birth to the army of women from its heart. The fear-shattering guerrilla warfare spread rapidly to the mountains of Kurdistan, and its development could not be stopped, despite all-round NATO support.
Under the leadership of women, ARGK developed further and gained a sphere of influence beyond Kurdistan. Our people embraced the leadership of Leader Apo and the line of guerrilla warfare with endless confidence and faith, and entered 1990 with serhildans, who are an indication of this. Nusaybin, Cizre, Hezex, Kerboran serhildans turned into the ownership of Vedat Aydın’s funeral in 1991 by hundreds of thousands. This serhildan spirit engulfed all the cities of Kurdistan and the metropolises of Turkey, where Kurds live, in 1992 Newroz. Leader Apo’s leadership and guerrilla warfare became popular, our people became active in every sense, and started to develop the art, language, culture and agitation propaganda of the revolution by organizing in the socio-political field as well. As it is already known, the slogan of the 1990s became concrete as “PKK is the people, the people are here”. Thus, the PKK, which migrated during the fascist junta on September 12 and started its guerrilla war in 1984, within six years; that is, by 1990, it had become a people and gained the quality of a people’s war. With the character of people’s war, the guerrilla was able to increase tenfold, gaining a more revolutionary and libertarian character under the leadership of the women’s army, and began to affect the whole Middle East, as well as the unity, self-confidence and willpower of our people against the invaders reached very advanced levels. Social structuring with political parties, press, culture and language organizations had passed to the stage of the revolutionary people or the people who fought and rebuilt their own country and life through struggle. This process was a new stage in the people’s war in Kurdistan and was indeed revolutionary.” within six years; that is, by 1990, it had become a people and gained the quality of a people’s war.
NATO RESTRUCTURED THE TURKISH STATE
Emphasizing that NATO intervened in the social development led by the PKK and Kurdish People’s Leader Öcalan and restructured the Turkish state, Alkan said, “NATO intervened because it saw the defeat of a member state against the PKK as its defeat. On the other hand, the Turkish Republic was designed according to NATO interests and therefore its survival was vital for NATO forces. That’s why NATO, as the Turkish Gladio, brought the special warfare department to the most active position against our movement in order to prevent our people’s war, to separate our Leader and our people, our party and our people, and therefore our guerrilla and our people. For this purpose, they established JİTEM with more than tens of thousands of shooters and drowned Kurdistan in the darkness of unsolved massacres. With the Hizbulkontra organization, they gave our people nightmares. Kurdistan villages with the counter-guerrilla structure, the countryside in general was left to provocations and conspiracies. Our people were condemned to make a choice between being a village guard-agent or being murdered.
Those who did not want to leave their lands became village guards, and most of them later contracted as a result of surrender. Those who insisted on staying on their land without compromising patriotism were massacred, put in dungeons, and kept under constant fear. Those who could not afford both migrated to Iraq under the control of dictator Saddam Hussein, to Europe or to the metropolises of Turkey, and became homeless and homeless and formed the cheap labor army of the colonialists. Tens of thousands of villages were burned, and countless Kurdish cities, especially Şırnak-Lice, were destroyed by tanks and burned. Hundreds of thousands of people were imprisoned in dungeons, tens of thousands of them were abducted by JİTEM, Hizbulkontra and other special war structures, and massacred by torture. As it is already known, with the declaration of a state of emergency in Kurdistan in 1991, leaving our people at the mercy of the counter organizations was legalized.
Because of all these special war policies, great walls were built between our people and the guerrilla starting from 1991. They called it the concept of drying up the sea and making the fish uninhabitable. The people, who were the sea, were supposed to be destroyed, and the guerrilla, the fish, would be destroyed. Either way, the guerrilla could not survive without the support of the people. That is, it could not grow, complete itself, devise its logistics, obtain intelligence, and thus create initiative. The fascist Turkish state, with the support of NATO, of which it is a member and serves its interests, resorted to all kinds of inhuman practices to destroy our people, which it called drying up the sea. He inflicted the greatest suffering on our people in history and practiced his cruelty. Likewise, he turned on the guerrilla with the most inhumane methods. He raped the corpses of the guerrillas who were martyred in the conflicts, cut off the organs of the wounded, He made headlines in prestigious (!) national newspapers by having pictures taken with severed heads, set fire to houses with children and old people, poured acid on them by throwing young people into wells, and tortured patriots for years in the basements of houses with pig ties. Kurdistan has been turned into hell and our people have been condemned to hell in their own country, which is paradise.
This process affected the people’s war. Its aim was to prevent our struggle from turning into a people’s war. Our enemies were afraid of the 1990 serhildans, the integration of the people and the guerrilla, and the guerrilla’s growth tenfold as a result, the people’s saying, “PKK is the people, the people are here”, that is, that the people will become PKK members and take shape as the main force of the revolution. In order to prevent this, they declared Kurdistan a state of emergency in 1991 and made it the area of JİTEM, Hizbulkontra, counter-guerrilla, village guards and MIT. In fact, they tried to prevent the people’s war in Kurdistan, which was turned into a special war zone, and to marginalize the guerrilla from the people,” he said.
SPECIAL WAR POLICIES KEEP THE PEOPLE IN A POSITION OF SUPPORT
Alkan stated that they managed to pull back the serhildan process, where the guerrilla leadership quickly became popular, to a certain extent, and added: In fact, this result represented an important success for the special war forces. Because even though our people could not be surrendered, their will could not be broken and they continued to embrace their Leader, party and guerrilla with the dirty war imposed on Kurdistan in 1991, the transformation of our struggle into a people’s war prevented the people from organizing themselves on the basis of equal responsibility with the guerrilla and enabling them to take the initiative. They ensured that the guerrilla was limited as a supporting force. Thus, they pulled back the development of the people’s war and normalized, as if it were the nature of the business, that the people should remain in a supporting position, preventing them from being the main force in the struggle to bring about the revolution. In this sense, they have limited or weakened the will of our people as the main force of the revolution to a certain extent.
They ensured the perception that the public cannot do everything, but they can be supportive. In other words, they succeeded in preventing the people from waging the war with the guerrilla, thus forming the two main forces that would develop the revolution together. With the implementation of the State of Emergency, both the people were restrained under heavy pressure and withdrawn to a supportive position. It is difficult to take full responsibility for the revolution with us under such heavy pressure. Therefore, as guerrillas, we will carry out the revolution, and our people will complement and support us in proportion to their strength”. This was actually a policy of special warfare, and its purpose was to prevent the people and the guerrilla from fighting together, that is, to prevent them from becoming the main revolutionary forces together, thus breaking their forces and taking advantage of this fragmentation to prevent the revolution. As we mentioned above, this special war policy could not take our people away, but to a certain extent it succeeded in reducing its position in the revolution to the point of support.
Thus, our people entered the position of supporters. In this process, our people acted with the understanding of “shoot guerrilla and establish Kurdistan”, acted with the perception that the responsibility of realizing the revolution belonged to the guerrilla, and determined an approach accordingly. Of course, guerrilla leadership is necessary and very important in Kurdistan conditions. In this sense, the guerrilla will continue to play the historical role it has played so far. However, there is a definite need for an approach and an understanding in which the guerrillas and the people are equally responsible for making the revolution in our country, Kurdistan, as is the case with many people’s wars that have waged victorious struggles against the great imperialist powers, especially Vietnam and China. Because the occupied peoples can only gain their freedom through people’s wars and defeat the colonial powers. Our recent history is full of countless examples of this. Our people are aware of this, and in the Rojava revolution experience, they have unmistakably experienced how the people’s war was fruitful.
In Aleppo, the people organized themselves, protected their lands and prevented the occupation, in the same way, they liberated the occupied areas one by one with the guerrilla warfare of the city. Not only did they liberate the regions they lived in as Kurds, they also liberated many Arab regions from the occupation of ISIS fascism and handed them over to their original owners. The areas of Rojava and North East Syria as a whole were liberated by the fact of the warring people. The 4th strategic period, which represents the last 13 years of our fifty-year struggle, is very important in this sense. In 2010, we started our 4th Strategic Struggle, which we defined as the “Revolutionary People’s War”. It was during this strategic process that the Rojava revolution really emerged as a product of the revolutionary people’s war. Currently, our ancient city Afrin, The struggle on the basis of the revolutionary people’s war continues against the Turkish colonialism that occupied the cities of Serêkaniyê and Girê Sipî, the capital of the great Kurdish civilization Mitanis, and against ISIS, the extension of this colonialism, against the gangs that are their supporters. Likewise, our Shengal people continue to build and defend their own society with the awareness and strategy of the revolutionary people’s war.”
YOUTH SHOULD BE ORGANIZED EVERYWHERE
Reminding that during the 4th strategic struggle they determined on the basis of the revolutionary people’s war, the people in Bakur first declared their democratic autonomy in 2011 under the leadership of the Democratic Society Congress, but this approach was exposed to the great pressures of the fascist state, Alkan continued: stated that he did not want foreign administration in his neighborhood and wanted to govern himself, and declared their self-government under the leadership of the people’s assemblies. Kurdish youth also organized the city defenses to protect the declared self-government from the attacks of the invaders. However, the genocidal fascist state turned towards our people in self-government areas and our brothers who defended them with all the occupying forces. Since the guerrilla could not remain silent about this, it went to the places that declared self-government and tried to be defended by the youth with a certain amount of force and logistics. Thus, a real people’s war was developed in the fields of self-government against the invaders. The leadership of Mehmet Tunç and Asya Yüksel in Cizre expresses this. Fatma Uyar, Pakize Nayır, Seve Demir express this. The murdered little Cemile, 60-year-old mother Taybet, Lokman Birlik, who was dragged by panzers, Ekin Van, whose naked body was displayed on the streets, tell the true face of the enemy who is afraid of the people’s war. Nusaybin and Sur resistances, which cause syndrome to the enemy, show the power of the revolutionary people’s war there. The leadership of Asya Yüksel expresses this.
These are historical and glorious processes, but the genocidal character of our enemy, the inhumane tendencies he developed as a result of his fascist structure, and the massacres he carried out brought great sufferings here. Despite all their pain, these great resistances once again made it clear that if our war is a people’s war, that is, all our people with their youth, women, children, men and the elderly will most actively protect their country, history, language, identity, culture, protect the values of freedom and fight with the invaders on this basis. If he fights everywhere, victory will definitely belong to our people. The basic principle of this is to reject the occupation, to reject the invaders, to act with the awareness that this is Kurdistan and we are Kurds. To take a stand, not to serve, to all colonial institutions, especially to the military, education, judiciary, everywhere with our language, culture, to exist in our attire. It is to always remind the occupiers that they are occupiers and that we do not accept them, to hit them in the face, to react, to protest all the practices of fascism without fear, to see our right to destroy the occupiers and traitors in our country as legitimate and to trust ourselves for this, to act with the awareness that our struggle is a just and therefore a legitimate one. .
The youth of our people should organize everywhere and embody how they will fight against the invaders and become activists everywhere. Action is our just and legitimate response to the invaders and their colonial policies. This reaction starts with a protest and goes to punishing the invaders and traitors. The important thing is that invaders and traitors become our targets everywhere, and that we do not remain indifferent to them. After approaching with this awareness, we can make life a nightmare for them with countless actions and discourage them from exploiting our country and governing us with colonial policies, make them hopeless, and ultimately defeat them. But it does not do these things and “the guerrilla is already fighting the invading army in the mountains. If it is said that whenever the occupying army is defeated, the fascist state officials will accept that they have been defeated, so our country will be free”, that is, if this war is reduced to a war only between the guerrilla and the occupying army, then the genocidal fascist state will treat the problem as a “terror” problem, not a Kurdish problem, with its special war methods. gets. This is how he shows it to the world, he finds the courage to turn to our people with the policies he wants.
On the other hand, by separating the people from the guerrilla, it turns to the guerrilla areas with all its might and the power of NATO, which it serves to its interests, and thus the war turns into a war of resistance waged by the guerrilla against the invading state army. Of course, the war between the guerrilla and the occupying army will also yield results for the Kurdistan revolution, because the Kurdistan freedom guerrilla has been fighting the NATO-backed occupying army for 40 years without interruption and has managed to defeat the invading army dozens of times during this time and foil all its plans. In fact, the fascist Turkish army would have already suffered a complete defeat against the guerrilla, had it not been for the support of the collaborator KDP and the treacherous structures in Bakur. In this sense, the problem is not the war of the guerrilla against the invading army. Just as this war has developed for 40 years, it will develop now. Even with professional modern guerrilla equipment, guerrilla warfare will continue much more effectively from now on. But it is clear that the genocidal fascist Turkish state is not only fighting with its army against us as a people in the mountains. The invading Turkish state is fighting against us as a people in every field with all its power and all its institutions. So we must respond with revolutionary people’s war on the basis of total resistance. In this sense, the revolutionary people’s war requires every member of our people to be warriors. So we must respond with revolutionary people’s war on the basis of total resistance. In this sense, the revolutionary people’s war requires every member of our people to be warriors. So we must respond with revolutionary people’s war on the basis of total resistance. In this sense, the revolutionary people’s war requires every member of our people to be warriors.
NO LIFE CAN SURVIVE IT WITHOUT SELF-DEFENSE
“The warrior does not necessarily mean the person who is on the mountain, carrying a firearm. A warrior is anyone who acts with the duty of active patriotism for the liberation of his occupied country and its colonized people, is aware of this, takes a stand against the occupiers in every field, and does not allow the occupier and their collaborators traitors. Feride Alkan, one of the YJA Star commanders, said: “The warrior is the one who takes action against fascism in every field in order to complete the guerrilla on the mountain and in the city. He is the one who creates the means and method of action according to his position, profession, and possibilities, but is definitely an activist against the invaders. We can call it a self-defense war. As it is known, the condition of existence is self-defense. No living thing without self-defense cannot actually exist or survive. This applies to all human structures, especially societies, peoples, women and youth. To say that I can exist without self-defense as a woman, a young person, a people or a society is not being able to define existence in reality.
Saying that others will defend me or others will defend me for me is just as illogical as saying “I’m hungry, let someone else eat so I can be full”. Especially societies under oppression, peoples under occupation, women living in a male-dominated world have to defend themselves, organize for this, and be in constant struggle. And this cannot be achieved with passive defense and struggle with a middle-class mentality. In particular, the people of Kurdistan, who are in the circle of genocide, can only defend themselves and survive through a revolutionary people’s war. The meaning of this is an organized, radical and continuous struggle, in which each Kurdish individual must set for himself active patriotism and radical revolutionary missions and act accordingly. This is the period of it. 4. The strategic period expresses this. The revolutionary people’s war is based on this understanding.
In other words, in our struggle for freedom led by Leader Apo, our people and the guerrilla can end the twenty-five years of captivity, end the occupation in our country, stop the genocide, and ultimately guarantee freedom by waging a people’s war on the basis of active defense within a plan. Our two-hundred-year-old serhildan, our fifty-year freedom struggle, our values, above all our great leadership truth, our invincible guerrilla army offer all the possibilities and create the necessary perspective for our people’s war locked to success. So we call on everyone to take an active part in the revolutionary people’s war. And on this occasion, we celebrate the August 15 resurrection day, express our gratitude to our Leader for providing us with this honor, and we commemorate all our martyrs of the revolution with gratitude in the person of our great commander Mahsum Korkmaz.
And finally, we say that victory will belong to our people fighting on the basis of the revolutionary people’s war, and we wish success to everyone who lives with this belief.”
