BEHDINAN – YJA Star guerrilla Zîlan Aydın and HPG guerrilla Seydo Destina spoke to ANF on the occasion of the 15 August Initiative.
YJA Star guerrilla Zîlan Aydın, who started her speech by celebrating the 15th of August Initiative, stated that they are fighting in the resistance positions against the invading enemy with the spirit of the 15th of August Initiative.
Stating that the HPG and YJA Star guerrillas never bowed to the attacks of the Turkish state, regardless of the price, Zîlan Aydın said, “The struggle of our self-sacrificing people is very important besides the resistance of the guerrilla. Our people stand up for the guerrilla, fight against the invaders, and pay a heavy price. Once again, we celebrate August 15, the resurrection day of the Kurdish people.
‘WE BASED ON SEROK APO’S stance’
From the past to the present, the August 15 Initiative has been our reason to increase our struggle, our resistance, and not accept surrender. No matter how heavy the attacks are, no matter how many banned weapons are used, we will never back down. We have been fighting for 40 years, we will fight for another 40 years. As the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla, we are based on the legacy of Heval Egîd, Zîlan and Bêrîtan and we are walking on this path. We are increasing our resistance day by day. Currently, operations to destroy the guerrilla continue in all areas of Kurdistan. Our people should know that the children of this country will not give up their struggle. In these operations, we lost great costs, great values. Many of our heroic comrades resisted to the last bullet and became martyrs. On this occasion, I once again commemorate our martyred comrades with respect. We repeat once again the promise that we will be worthy of the legacy of resistance. We take the stance of Serok Apo, who did not give up his resistance despite all the attacks and the heavy isolation.”
WE WILL AVENGE OUR MARTYRS
HPG guerrilla Seydo Destina emphasized that the 15 August Initiative is very important for the oppressed and peoples who demand freedom, and said: “The 15 August Initiative has shown us a bright path. Heval Egîd showed us how the Kurdish people will defend themselves against the Turkish state and invaders after the 15 August Initiative. The Kurdish people and the Freedom Movement have walked this line since 1984. There is a great resistance in Medya Defense Areas, especially in Zap, Metîna, Avaşîn and Xakurkê. The enemy uses all kinds of weapons, but despite all his technique and technology, he cannot advance a step. The guerrilla takes the basis of this struggle from the 15 August Initiative. No matter what happens, we will resist until our last breath and avenge our martyrs.”
