VIENNA – Members of Ciwanên Şoresger held an act of civil disobedience in Vienna, the capital of Austria, yesterday. Demonstrations were held in many cities of Europe to condemn the 9th anniversary of the genocide against Yazidis. One of them happened in Vienna, the capital of Austria. After the action for Shengal, members of Ciwanên Şoreşger carried out an action of civil disobedience.
As it is known, yesterday, European youth were at 3 different points in Strasburg, France; The CPT carried out massive acts of civil disobedience in the ECHR and the EP. Greeting the resistance of the youth and demanding the physical freedom of the Kurdish People’s Leader, young people in Vienna held a demonstration on Mariahilferstrasse, one of the busiest streets in Vienna, in the evening hours. The action started from Westbahnhof and ended at Neubaugasse.
Stating that they hailed and congratulated the brave action in Strasbourg, the young people said, “This brave action created a great morale in all over Europe, especially in Vienna.” said.
Young people said, “There has been no news from Leader APO for 2 years. Despite the insistence of his lawyers and family, the applications remain inconclusive, this is never acceptable! We, the Kurdish Youth, do not and will never accept this. We will be in action always and everywhere. The role and mission of the youth is to realize the physical freedom of the Leader with a young spirit and to protect the martyrs and the lands of Kurdistan. If we, as Kurdish youth, do not follow these values, then why do we call ourselves Kurds? Here is our announcement to everyone: The demand of every Kurdish youth and young woman: Leader APO must have freedom.”
