NEWS CENTER – The occupier and fascist Turkish state always plans its opposition to the people and especially to the Kurdish community and always uses language and war. This opposition to the Turkish state is a social, cultural and historical opposition. It has been going on since the establishment of the Turkish state until today. Even before that, those who came out on the basis of the Turkish nation and called themselves Ottoman, Kemalist and Turkish, always showed their opposition to the Kurdish people. The Turkish state’s opposition to the Kurdish people in recent years extends beyond the political borders of the occupying Turkish state and expands to both South Kurdistan and West Kurdistan (Rojava.)
Today, the PDK, the Berzanî family party in southern Kurdistan, in cooperation with the Turkish MIT, is preparing the ground for a war against the Kurdish people. One of these plans is for the PDK, in cooperation with the Turkish state intelligence and the Iraqi government, to cross the border. Rojava and South Kurdistan, which is starting to build a wall to block the road between Rojava and Sinjar, is also strengthening its forces and PDK forces in the areas of media protection, and is pushing West Kurdistan between the borders. In this way, the Turkish state strengthens itself in the strategic areas of South Kurdistan and West Kurdistan through Kurdish traitors, the Berzanî family and its PDK party, all these signs of preparation for war against the freedom movement and the planned Kurdish people. In this way, the Turkish state, led by Xilosi Akari, and the Barzanî family recently met on the basis of fighting terrorism, on the basis of which the PDK provides intelligence to the Turkish state in preparation for war. This not only affects the situation with war, this relationship between the Turkish state, PDK and Iraq leads to instability in the region.
As the occupying Turkish state continues its policies of occupation in Kurdistan, the KDP continues to lead the way for the Turkish state to achieve these goals. In footage reached by our agency, some peshmerga affiliated to the KDP are trying to detonate the camps dug by guerrillas in the areas. It is known that the guerrillas in the area are in war against Turkish occupation in southern Kurdistan.
After the invasion operation launched by the invading Turkish state against Heftanin in southern Kurdistan, the KDP acts together with the Turkish state in the region and provides all kinds of logistics and intelligence support for it to occupy the area.
While Turkish forces are reportedly preparing to launch a new series of attacks in Iraqi Kurdistan against positions of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), a recent analysis by Erdoğan Altan from Mezopotamya Agency asserts that special forces of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and Turkish units including contractors have been dispatched to 87 military posts across the region.
Noting that Turkey was not able to get a result from the military operation that started almost a year before in the Iraqi Kurdistan region and that the Turkish forces had to withdraw from many points of disembarkation, Altan argued that such deadlock has led the diplomatic traffic between Ankara and Erbil (Hewlêr) to intensify.
Minister of Defense Hulusi Akar and Undersecretary of the Turkish Intelligence Service (MİT) Hakan Fidan held meetings in Iraqi Kurdistan, followed by the visit of Nêçîrvan Barzani to Ankara, where he met with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Altan noted that it was expected that Turkey would widen the scope of its military operation and increase offences together with KDP forces. There are reports that the KDP had grounded the Roj Peshmergas and the Gulan and Zêrewanî forces in the Heftanîn region approximately ten days ago and that the dispatching was not limited to Heftanîn but that the purpose was to establish 87 military posts across the region. KDP forces and contractor forces linked to the Justice and Development Party (AKP) and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) were already being dispatched; Altan also conveyed that intelligence agents of MİT were also being placed in points established, especially in Bradost, Lelikan, and surroundings lead by Peshmerga Assistance Force First Commander Sihan Barzani.
Armed forces of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) have deployed armored vehicles and ambulances to the Metina region in the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq). According to reports, the military activity is aimed at taking some regions between the areas of Kela Qumriyê and Qaşûra under control. KDP forces had previously attempted to seize Qumriyê and some other nearby locations on the Qaşûra line where guerrilla forces put up great resistance against the Turkish occupying forces last year.
As an act of support for the Turkish state, the KDP had been involved in provocations in the same area before in an attempt to restrict the areas used by HPG guerrillas, as in the cases of Zînê Wertê and Xelîfan incidents. Guerrilla forces manifested a stance serving the spirit of national unity in order to avoid a conflict among Kurdish forces. Reports say that the KDP decided to conduct a military build-up in the region during a meeting held in Kanimasi subdistrict a few days before Newroz, March 21.
For this base, the exact place known as the Command Field on Amediye Hill and where the guerrilla is currently actively fighting has been determined. The images show that the KDP has started to build a military base for the Turkish army under its shadow by planting the Southern Kurdistan Region flags on this hill.
At a few points on the hill, the flags of the Federal Kurdistan Region and the walls that have been built stand out. Speaking during the video shoot, journalist Kurtay Serhat said, “The KDP is outposting the Turkish army under the shadow of the Southern Kurdistan flag.”
In July another video showed the building up of a military base by the KDP to be delivered to turkish occupier forces, in Metina. On this hill, where secret units of Turkish soldiers were seen trying to settle before, KDP forces started to build roads and then bases and shelters with heavy machinery. It turned out that the secret units belonging to the occupying army in the same region were under the protection of the KDP forces in order not to be attacked by the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrillas.
Biologists Jan Van Aken and Josef Savari, members of the International Doctors for the Prevention of Nuclear War, visited the Kurdistan Region to examine the chemical weapons used in the Kurdistan Region since the Halabja massacre. Visiting the Kurdistan Region Parliament Office in Sulaymaniyah, the delegation met with the head of the office.
It was reported that the banned weapons used in the Kurdistan Region were discussed at the meeting.
At the press conference held after the meeting, Kurdistan Region Parliament Peshmerga and Public Security Committee member Osman Sêderi said, “We welcome the delegation from Europe to visit the Kurdistan Region and examine the chemical weapons used since the Halabja attack.”
Biologist Jan Aken, who has been researching chemical weapons for 25 years, said, “Last week we visited the Anfal monument in Çemçemal and Halabja. We also tried to reach the villages of Hirur and Kani Masi by visiting the town of Amiye.”
Aken said, “However, according to some reports we received, chemical weapons are used in that region. We also wanted to investigate and keep a report. We wanted to talk to Haci Abdullah, who was a victim of chemical weapons, but the Amêdiye district governor did not allow us and prevented us from doing research,” he added.
Not only during this invasion of the Turkish occupying state that began on April 14, 2022, the KDP and the Barzani family have taken a role that has nothing to do with the feelings of the Welatparêzî or the defense of Kurdish society and its achievements. Already in history, the suspicious attitude of the KDP became clear again and again, especially when it came to fighting revolutionary movements and the advancing struggle for freedom in Kurdistan.
ANF documented the moments when the KDP came to the aid of the invading Turkish state with images. While the historical resistance of the HPG and YJA Star guerrillas against the attacks launched by the Turkish army on Zap, Metîna and Avaşîn within the borders of Bashure Kurdistan on April 14, 2022, the KDP’s cooperation with the invaders was once again documented with images. The KDP forces, which previously cut the logistics going to the HPG and YJA Star guerrillas, besieged them in some places, prevented them from moving and set up ambushes, and made way for the armored vehicles of the Turkish soldiers, this time came to the aid of the invading army in Girê Hekarî (Hakkari Hill).
According to the information received, it was learned that under the leadership of Necat Eli Fatê, one of the military forces affiliated with the KDP, he went on a reconnaissance of bases and strongholds in the guerrilla-controlled areas in the Xinêrê area for the invading and colonial Turkish state.
KDP has been conducting reconnaissance with a large number of military vehicles in the areas under guerrilla control in the Xinêre area for the Turkish army to establish bases there. According to local sources, it was stated that the last time he came to Berbizinê Hill with many vehicles under the leadership of Necat Eli Fatê, who is in charge of the military forces affiliated with the KDP, and stayed there for a long time.
It was learned that Necati Eli Fatê, who is in charge of the aforementioned KDP military forces, is known for his close relations with the intelligence of the invading and colonial Turkish MIT, and finally, he came to the Berbizinê area with the MIT officials to watch the area for the invading Turkish army to build a stronghold. Especially in areas where the invading Turkish army has guerrillas, the KDP has established new bases almost everywhere in Bashure Kurdistan under its cover and protection.
KDP forces first dispatched a large force to Amediye district of Bashure Kurdistan and from there to guerrilla areas on 2 August. It was seen that the KDP forces opened new roads in the mountains with buckets and moved towards the guerrilla areas from the Zap dam.
It has been learned that the KDP, which is trying to take positions especially in Geliyê Reşawa, Gera Çelka and Mêrgê, is trying to create new points. It was stated that the KDP’s sending a large force towards the Zap and advancing towards the guerrilla areas was aimed at completing the siege that the invading Turkish army wanted to carry out against the Zap.
In recent years, the KDP has been causing intense reactions among the Kurds with its open support to the invasion attacks of the Turkish state.
