The final declaration called for the establishment of legal committees and the implementation of regional strategic moves for the physical freedom of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan. It was also stated that a regional institution should be established for the rights of all political prisoners, especially Abdullah Öcalan.
RESISTING WOMEN hailed
The result statement is as follows:
“On August 18-19, more than 100 women from Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan, Yemen, Sudan, Turkey and Iran gathered in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, to discuss the conflicts in the region. We held the Experiences Congress, which was held with the slogan ‘Jin, Jiyan, Azadî’.
It is not a coincidence that we gathered and held our congress in August. However, with our commitment to the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” slogan and philosophy, we organized it to support the Yazidi women of Shengal and the women of Afghanistan against the genocidal plans. This congress is an important call for participation in women’s actions in the world announced by KJK. At the same time, it is for the support of the uprising of the Iranian peoples, whose new year is only a few days away, under the leadership of women, with the slogan “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi”. On this occasion, women who resist and struggle all over the world; We greet Yazidi, Afghan, Iranian, Kurdish and Arab women.
In our congress, we discussed the problems of women in different countries of the Middle East and Africa, and we came to the conclusion that the major world powers and the dominant systems in the region paved the way for all kinds of war. This war is being waged under the policy of “total war against all”. In addition, within the framework of the policy of redefining the social, cultural, national, religious, ethnic and religious identities in the region, it is done against each other in order for the dominant powers to realize their interests. As a result of these policies, occupation, armed conflict, forced mass migration are practiced.
There were changes in the demographic structure, massacre, oppression, human trafficking, violence against women, trafficking in women and children and the targeting of pioneers.
Thereupon, there was a need to initiate a general solution to these disasters. We can say that we are against the massacres of women and policies in all areas of life and at all levels.
WOMEN’S EXPERIENCE IN KURDISTAN
At the congress, the experiences of Kurdish women in the four parts of Kurdistan, how they can benefit from these experiences in our regions and the spirit of the historical heritage were discussed. Whether it’s the experience of the co-presidency organization in Bakurê Kurdistan, the self-defense experience of Êzidî women from Shengal, or the experience of pioneer women in Rojava, Northern and Eastern Syria, and under the leadership of Kurdish women, in Rojhilatê Kurdistan, with the slogan “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” Let it be the experience of the uprising in
We drew attention to the sources of inspiration, intellectual and philosophical background of Kurdish women’s experiences, and we saw that there is slander of facts and violence in media reports against international Kurdish thinker Abdullah Öcalan. Öcalan has been held in a single cell prison on İmralı Island in Turkey for nearly 25 years, against the philosophy of the period. Today, it is resisting the mental torture and absolute isolation policy implemented against all international human rights norms and standards. It is also deprived of the “Right of Hope” in the context of the special laws of the official legal traditions. We affirmed that he should be released because he represents a fair cause of humanity and the cause of human conscience.
DECISIONS MADE
According to her, we are women in this ancient holy land, known as the cradle of goddesses, where there is a voluntary, natural and common life between peoples and identities, and we believe that the struggle of women together is dynamic. We have agreed on the following resolutions for the strength and assurance of restoring a secure and stable institution of social life where there is practical unity, justice, genuine democracy and lasting peace:
- The resistance of Yazidi, Afghan, Iranian, Kurdish and Palestinian women and women fighters and insurgents in the entire region should be supported against the dark forces targeting women. It is necessary to benefit from the experience of Kurdish women’s co-chairmanship organization, which is a model for all women and peoples of the region.
- An international women’s congress should be organized in order to strengthen the common struggle of women, to combine women’s resources, to make it a self-defense tool with all its institutions and equipment, and to clarify its policies and actions. A common local women’s desk should be established and main concepts should be re-examined so that it can be redefined from a common women’s point of view, benefit from Jineology and work on its distribution.
- Legal committees should be established and regional strategic campaigns should be launched for the release of Abdullah Öcalan, an international Kurdish thinker, free thinker and friend of women’s freedom.”
- A regional network should be established to protect all detainees and politicians, especially Abdullah Öcalan, as they represent the voice, spirit and identity of their people. All kinds of religious fundamentalism and the “extermination of women” policy, all misogynistic oppressive and authoritarian policies and practices must be fought.
