QANDIL – Today happened the funeral of the two guerrillas who were martyred in the attacks of the invading Turkish state on Medya Defense Zones on 6 August 2023. The guerrillas were sent off on their last journey with a mass ceremony held in Qendil’s Mehmet Karasungur Cemetery.
The ceremony started with a minute of silence. Making a speech at the ceremony on behalf of the Maxmur Martyr Family Institution, Sultan Yıldızatan said, “We extend our condolences to the entire Kurdish people, especially to the families of both martyrs.”
Yıldızatan said, “The Kurdish people are under a great attack. There are martyrs of all nationalities in our cemeteries. This shows us the success of Leader Öcalan’s philosophy. As the families of martyrs, we will walk in the footsteps of our martyrs to the end. Victory will be for the guerrilla,” he added.
Tevgera Azadî Board Member Xalid Muhamed expressed his condolences to Önder APO and all the families of the martyrs and said, “The enemy is attacking us because we are patriots. My condolences to all the Kurdish people and the precious family.”
After the speeches, the bodies of the guerrillas were bid farewell to their last journey with the slogans of ‘Martyr Namirin’ and ‘Biji Serok Apo’.
