Of course, this resistance should be led by young women and men. Because what is being defended there is actually their future,” he said.
Emphasizing that the Kurdish Youth Movement, in which he expressed his belief that it will make very strong breakthroughs, should include the issue of freedom and status on its agenda, Ümit said, “The target has become clear. Our own truth has been revealed. Now it will become clear how we will fight. How will we take part in the military struggle? How do we take part in the political struggle? How do we take part in the struggle for thought? How do we lead enlightenment in the intellectual struggle? The agenda of the Kurdish youth should be shaped on this basis. If that happens, we have a youth movement that has a very important dynamism. We are now producing youth everywhere. Fighting youth. It is the youth fighting in Zap, Avaşîn, Heftanîn, Metîna, Xakurkê, that is, everywhere. And the PKK is a movement that always stays young with this youth,” he said.
The speech of PKK Central Committee Member Hêlîn Ümit, who evaluated the important agendas developing around Kurdistan and Turkey, from isolation to genocide policies, from national unity to ecology, in a special program broadcast on Medya Haber TV, is as follows:
First of all, I would like to express our love, greetings and respects to Leader Apo, on behalf of the youth and women friends and comrades.
Leader Apo’s position in the Imrali torture and genocide system is of course the primary agenda of the Kurdish people. It’s been like this for 25 years. For 25 years, the Kurdish people have been taking action on the basis of Leader Apo’s freedom wherever they are. It has basically been standing for 25 years. It is in a position to demand and fight for Leader Apo’s physical freedom.
There is a phrase among the people called being thrown into a blind well. In fact, this is a phrase that is used a lot in folk literature. And it is generally used to describe the practices of the power forces towards the leaders, leaders and vanguards of the peoples. In the current situation, of course, the Turkish ruling system, Turkish ruling classes and their international bases see such a reality as true for Leader Apo. Not being heard in the blind well, they are trying to make this valid both for the Kurdish people and for the peoples of the world.
It is necessary to say this persistently. Leader Apo means the reality of the Kurdish people. It is necessary to define Leader Apo as such and to identify Leader Apo’s freedom with the freedom of the Kurdish people. In this sense, the Kurdish people feel this deeply. However, this definition is somewhat narrow. Defining Leader Apo only as the leadership of the Kurdish people also expresses a narrow reality in the current period. Because, in a period when there is no geography, social base, and people left, in which capitalist modernity has not established its hegemony by making itself a global system, and in that sense, it keeps the workers, oppressed, women and peoples under such a policy of genocide, making its debut with the paradigm of democratic modernity,
Perhaps because of such a reality, we define Leader Apo as the Kurdish People’s Leader or the leader of the Kurdish people’s struggle. Do you say the statuslessness that the Kurdish people are condemned to in the current period, do you say genocide policies, denial and annihilation attacks; Now people can handle this in many ways. It is such a shame for humanity, it is at an unacceptable point, so we deal with the problem of freedom of the Kurdish people.
LEADER APO IS THE WILL OF EXISTENCE OF THE KURDISH PEOPLE
Let’s say we have reached a certain stage in the Kurdish question, it has been resolved. Then, Leader Apo’s paradigm, his approach to the world, his approach to the system, the social reality he ideally wants to build will make the reality of leadership, which he represents for all the peoples of the world, more visible. In this sense, it should always be emphasized. From our point of view, in terms of our struggle, Leader Apo is the voice of freedom of the Kurdish people. It is his will, his will to be. We need to see it this way and fight it that way. But there was also the latest statement made by the unions in Brussels. It was really important. Both the calls they made and the decisions they made were very important. They both made a call to the Turkish state, warned the European Union, and made a call to the peoples. In this sense, Leader Apo sees the importance and value of this physical freedom, not only for the democracy and freedom of the country and the region, but also for the peoples of the world and their struggle. It needs to be expanded more. For example, the struggle of the people of Algeria in the past. It was the area where the peoples of the world, in fact, the humanity of the world, came to terms with their conscience. Or the Palestinian struggle… It still preserves such a reality for the peoples of the Middle East and the world today, but it is not on the agenda as much as before because of Israel’s policies. In fact, these have become centers where the peoples have nullified the attacks against them. For example, the struggle of the people of Algeria in the past. It was the area where the peoples of the world, in fact, the humanity of the world, came to terms with their conscience. Or the Palestinian struggle…
WE SHOULD BE THE VOICE OF DEMOCRATIC MODERNITY
Kurdistan is the place where the attacks against the world humanity are directed together. If humanity wins in Kurdistan, if the Kurdish people wins, if they gain freedom, if democracy wins, if the struggle for democratic modernity wins, in fact, a very important gain will emerge both morally and politically for the humanity of the world. We do this with our international friends, together with other peoples, intellectuals and various non-governmental organizations; We must be able to be the voice of democratic modernity in a world that capitalist modernity wants to take under control with so much restraint and the third world war. In this sense, you can think of each one as a commune. A trade union is a commune or a nonprofit is a commune. If you really take democratic criteria as a basis,
This is also important for Leader Apo’s physical freedom. But more is important to humanity. In order to make room for the reality represented by Leader Apo, we need to grow our struggle more united with the forces of democracy. In terms of the statement in Brussels, I can say the following; It is necessary to understand correctly why these policies on Leader Apo developed. First of all, a struggle for hegemony is going on in Turkey. In this struggle for hegemony, the fascist alliance led by the AKP-MHP wants to close the space for the forces that want democracy and freedom. That is why there are such heavy attacks against Leader Apo, there is fear. Because ideological hegemony, cultural hegemony, political hegemony, economic hegemony is desired to be established. Leader Apo’s system of thought, philosophy of struggle, The approach of organizing and empowering peoples is an obstacle to this. If it is broken, democracy, freedom, human rights, justice and coexistence will develop in Turkey. There is such a heavy attack because it does not coincide with the interests of the current fascist hegemony. This should be well understood by everyone. On this occasion, I would like to say: Democrats from Turkey, intellectuals, especially people who think about the future of the Turkish people, politicians need to take responsibility. He has to take responsibility for this. Indeed, Turkey is doomed to greater darkness before the Kurdish problem is resolved, the attacks on Leader Apo are eliminated, and its physical freedom is not realized. There is such a heavy attack because it does not coincide with the interests of the current fascist hegemony. This should be well understood by everyone.
TURKISH PATRIOTS NEED TO DEVELOP A STATUS AGAINST THE WAR LINE
We are struggling. As the PKK, we are a struggling force. We have a certain power in the social field. It’s everywhere. In that sense, this struggle will continue. But the accounts on Türkiye are heavy. Real Turkish patriots, people who think about Turkey, need to take a stance against the war line in Turkey, the war with the peoples, the war with the workers, the war with the women. In every field where Turkish democrats and intellectuals are; It needs to be more involved not only in Turkey but also in the international arena.
We know that there is a very heavy fascism environment in Turkey for the solution of the Kurdish problem. Now everyone is following the example of Merdan Yanardag, following it with an example. A truth he said; There is a reality in Imrali, isn’t there? There is an injustice towards him. It exposed the political aims of this lawlessness. But it was an area where the untouchable law of bronze worked. You cannot talk about Leader Apo. You cannot express any truth about it. What happened about a month? He is unjustly detained and imprisoned.
One reason for this is that Merdan Yanardag was left alone. Indeed, if there are intellectuals in Turkey who say that they agree with democratization concerns about Turkey’s future, who want justice and seek equality in the economic field, they should learn to stand side by side. First of all, Turkey, intellectuals, democrats, left-socialist forces should be able to stand together. And then they should be able to stand side by side with the resisting forces of the Kurdish people’s freedom struggle. Otherwise, the state stays with what it does. My call is directed towards this.
In the current period, the Imrali genocide system on Leader Apo has come to the point where it cannot be hidden anymore. It is the most important center deciphering the reality of the regime in Turkey, as well as a shame on humanity. No steps can be taken in Turkey, no opposition can develop before it is disintegrated. The system does not allow this. But if this is broken, if it changes, if the power, will and courage to speak up about it are revealed, the political environment in Turkey will be revived and the dynamics will be revealed.
THE AKP-MHP’S IDEOLOGICAL ATTACK MUST BE STRONGLY AGAINST
Cultural Islam is separate from the Islam in which our society lives and political Islam. This is a very sensitive subject. Middle Eastern societies, religious societies. We are all children of such families. In our society, the Islamic tradition and adherence to Islamic values are high. What are AKP-MHP doing? By making the Islamist secular distinction, it plays a polarizing role for all Islamists.
We see that the conflicts in the political field have continued since the first establishment of the Republic. It has existed since its inception. There is the identification of wanting freedom with the West. What remains? Sultan’s regime, sultanate regime, dictatorial regime. The ruling forces are turning to its construction. There is such a danger. In that sense, it is necessary to go into the details of the struggle for hegemony in Turkey. It has to be dealt with properly. The origin of democracy is this land, this geography. The most precious examples of democratic models and democratic life examples have been experienced in the Middle East geography. The most beautiful resistances developed in this geography. Organization models based on communal life values developed in this geography. It also developed under the umbrella of Islam. This ideological attack by the AKP-MHP fascism, and in particular by the AKP, must be met with strength. Here is the isolation against Leader Apo. In this regard, Leader Apo, with his paradigm, offers the peoples of the Middle East an alternative to living with their own values in a democratic culture, especially the Kurdish people. Do not look at the local-national saying. This is a slogan used by the Islamist movement in the founding of the Republic. Today, they are reviving this word. What to do there? They went to NATO, they gave in to everything that was said at the NATO summit. Everyone knows this. What is AKP media trying to do now? The so-called foreign policy was being corrected. What to do there? Türkiye is returning to its own settings. What are Turkey’s settings? Türkiye is a Turkish nation-state, a dependent state. If and only if the political structures in Turkey are organized from below through democratization, If the will and power of the people is revealed and the organized society can become a society that produces politics on a daily basis, it can become independent, local and national. Neither democracy nor freedom can come with elections that are held every five years, every four years, by trickery, by what the state mind brings to power, by something that excludes the people from politics and politics. All the others are blindfold. Because Leader Apo has deciphered all this, they want to be thrown into the blind well. Therefore, my call is for intellectuals abroad, especially those from Turkey, to take action. There are also many intellectuals abroad; I urge them to take responsibility. Neither democracy nor freedom comes when people are excluded from politics and politics. All the others are blindfold.
EVERYONE WAS BEGGED TOGETHER WITH THE ‘PLUMBING PLAN’
The war continues with all its intensity. Maybe there is something like this; the war is concentrated a little outside the border, outside of Bakure Kurdistan, in the Medya Defense Areas. There is such insensitivity in the Bakur area. First of all, I want to criticize him. I am speaking from the point of view of both the people of Türkiye and the people of Kurdistan. The war in Medya Defense Zones is to seize total dominance in Turkey and Kurdistan. If the guerrilla resistance declines here; If it weakens and does not survive, it is time for a full-blown fascism in Turkey. Therefore, there must be an attitude that sees its own destiny in the war here, stands by the guerrilla in this war, supports it, joins it, and embraces that war. From the point of view of the Turkish people, there must be an attitude that opposes this and sees the results of this invasion operation.
Everyone should see this; What happened in Turkey with the attacks increasing with the Scattering Action Plan since 2015? What happened to the political, military, economic and social life in Turkey? Everyone had a downfall, right? It flutters. It goes to Qatar, it goes there, it goes here; begging everyone.
But how was it before that? When there were meetings with Leader Apo, it was a period when perhaps the most hopeful and positive developments in the history of the Republic were experienced, when Leader Apo’s voice was heard, everyone took a deep breath, and the best examples of life together among peoples developed. Economic welfare has increased. It was not the AKP’s ingenuity!
We knew this situation, we knew how hard the Turkish economy would be in this war. That’s why our friends have made evaluations on this subject many times. They said this would harm Turkish society. At this point, the war in Zap, Metîna, Heftanîn, Xakurkê, and in the Medya Defense Areas in general, hits its owners the most; he shoots those who continue the war. In this sense, the peoples of Türkiye and Kurdistan should be sensitive to this.
Very effective activities have developed in the last week. Especially in Tepe Cûdî. I salute all YJA Star and HPG guerrillas who took part in this action. There has indeed been such a move for the past week. The Turkish state is in an occupying position, it is a genocidal force. No matter how much he tries to justify himself in different ways, he cannot explain this either to the world or to the peoples. It magnifies anger. This is an indication that the guerrilla will always continue its actions in a stronger way, and that it will not be able to stay for long even if the enemy comes to some places and is held with that technical power, even if he receives some blows.
ACTIONS AGAINST THE USE OF CHEMICALS MUST BE MORE MASS
The Turkish army can fight with the weapons it receives from NATO. It only fights with chemical weapons, especially tactical nuclear weapons.
Xosnav Ata ended his protest the other day. He made a truly exemplary statement. He said; “I have been protesting here for a year to make my voice heard, to hold a meeting; they didn’t even do that”. He stated that he quit his action because of this reality, but that he would continue his struggle in different ways. I express my love and greetings to him on behalf of our guerrilla friends. His resistance, action and stance for a year were very meaningful. It was not a person’s stance. As a representative of the Kurdish people, he took a stance for the guerrillas, against the Turkish army, which committed crimes against humanity against the guerrillas. Such actions should be more massive. There should be more ownership. Xosnav Ata did this for his two nephews. Those two nephews of his are the freedom militants of these Kurdish people. Such a caring spirit. The Kurdish people should always be able to take part in such actions. As much as possible, it should be in action in every field and everywhere. Especially the use of chemical weapons, the use of tactical nuclear weapons; These are crimes against humanity. These are bound by law. But when it comes to Kurds, these are not implemented.
Nevertheless, I am speaking especially for our people living abroad. They should knock down these institutions. They should be able to demonstrate action at every possible level. They should continue until they make the necessary decisions in this regard.
Indeed, the Turkish army has no other stance against the guerrilla, it has no means. He wages war on it. It is necessary to take a stand against it. The war we wage is always a people’s struggle against such high technology, based on ideology, thought, will, courage, self-sacrifice and goodness. We do not have the understanding why we do not have such high technology, we cannot fight, we cannot resist. The guerrilla mentality is the opposite of this. However, poisoning with chemicals and using tactical nuclear bombs are a different matter. The Kurdish people must take a stand against this everywhere and in every field.
At this point, the war is locked. It’s already called “Operation Claw Lock”. We said that this operation will be locked in the early stages of the operation. Indeed, that situation continues. In this sense, the necessary self-sacrificing stance is displayed against the invading policies of the Turkish state. There is no mention of any progress.
THERE IS A TERRIBLE GENOCIDE WAR IN KURDISTAN
There are serious pressures on the free press tradition. Every day there are arrests, detentions. They take one and leave the other. I send them my love and greetings as well. I salute your resistance. It’s really important. They don’t take a step back. These arrests are made to hide the genocidal attacks in Kurdistan. They are trying to prevent the practices on the Kurdish people from being exposed, the attacks from being exposed and being exposed.
They are trying to ensure that the attacks that will break the will of the Kurdish people continue and that the massacres against Kurdish villagers and people continue. They did not leave any trees in Judi. Isn’t that also a genocidal attack? In fact, I do. It invades your living space. Imagine, we are under the trees right now. Imagine these trees being cut down. Could there be life here? Tree is life. The Precipitation Action Plan, which was decided, planned and put into action in 2015, is being implemented by the Turkish state. There is no going back from this. The most up-to-date objective of the Precipitation Action Plan is the plan to perpetuate the Kurdish genocide. What are they doing for it? On a daily basis, he actually wants to hold a sword at the head of the Kurdish society and threaten it, and moreover, he wants to both frighten and break its will by slaughtering it every day. He’s already killing what he killed.
It is such a genocidal war. It has no equal in the world. For example, there are people from other peoples who have been subjected to genocidal attacks. There are peoples who are subject to colonial practices. There are resistances developed by the people against it. But if you notice, our Leader described the Kurdish genocide as “unique”. He said it’s like no other. For example, black peoples… While black people were being persecuted, they knew why they were persecuted. They were aware that they were under attack because of the color of their skin. The Jews knew why they were killed for their faith. Even when Kurds are massacred, they are not killed as Kurds. They have no identities. Could anything be more serious than that? Genocide the Kurds, banning their language, banning their culture, interfering with their way of life, all kinds of dirty interventions,
Our people need to feel these genocide attacks deeply. The worst thing is to get used to the worst worst case. The Turkish state wants to get used to it. He wants to accustom himself to affection. He wants to accustom himself to alienation. In this way, he wants to complete assimilation. It has such a policy. That’s why it continues to do so systematically. This is a drop policy. That’s why all our people should really feel the genocide deeply. You cannot live with the genocide. This entails moral decline. Since we cannot give up on our humanity, since the Kurdish people cannot give up being a people, we have no choice but to resist. The Kurdish people should definitely be able to organize against such attacks. He should definitely take a stand.
No fascist attack, no dictatorial attack can be explained by silence. It was mentioned in an interview with Gültan Kışanak; “Social disasters are not like natural disasters, you expect natural disasters and they will pass. Then you can recreate yourself. But social disasters, attacks and destructions do not pass like this. If there is an attack, if you do not resist it, it will sustain itself further by strengthening it. Therefore, it is no longer possible to wait, to seek help from other forces, and to wait for someone to come and save us. No one should think such a thing. The Kurdish people are a political people. The Kurdish people are a nation that emerged out of the fires and became a nation, experiencing democratic nationhood in this way. Therefore, he should see his own strength in himself and struggle to organize. Those who face such attacks should never be left alone. Erdogan, He used to say to Esat that “one cannot be a abad by oppression”. Now he is trying to become abad by cruelty. It is no different than Assad. I can even say that it is trying to ensure the genocide of the Kurdish people within a network of worse, more covert and more dirty relations.
THERE IS ONE POWER IN THE AREA OF DEMOCRATIC POLITICS
In the 100th anniversary of the Republic, we are responding to these attacks. They, too, have intensified their attacks to complete the Kurdish genocide. These attacks are related to that. There is no need for anyone to fall into despair or insecurity. Freedom forces of the Kurdish people are resisting, their Leader is resisting, their women are resisting, their youth are resisting. It will resist even more. The era of deception, concealment, and deception has passed. In that sense, everyone should approach with more self-confidence.
One of my calls in this regard will be in the field of democratic politics. In the field of democratic politics, the third way should be knitted. Waiting between two political currents, not positioning themselves, but forming their own line, building and struggling… There is no other opposition force in Turkey anyway. Apart from the field of democratic politics, apart from the Labor and Freedom Alliance and the forces within it, there is no opposition in Turkey. There is only one opposition; this is the Labor and Freedom Alliance in the field of democratic politics. If they play their part, they play. Otherwise no one else will play. There is no such power. Everyone has to accept this now.
On this basis, they should be able to organize a political discourse and a line of practical action that will embrace workers, laborers, women, ecologists, anarchists, and anyone who is disturbed by the current state of affairs, especially the Kurdish people, who are oppressed, oppressed, despised, excluded and faced with oppression. This is not the time to wait. They will wait another five years. They will win now so they can win in five years.
KURDISH SAID WE ARE AT THE LAUSANNE CONFERENCE
First of all, I congratulate the forces, sectors, individuals and intellectuals who made the Lausanne Conference. We entered the 100th anniversary of the Republic with the attacks that wanted to destroy the Kurdish existence and freedom. These continue. But there is a reality. The completion of the Kurdish genocide, which was the basic plan of the Republic, could not be realized in this century. At this conference, first of all, the Kurds said “we exist” in its centennial year. This is the meaning of the Lausanne Conference. I leave aside the shortcomings and inadequacies. First of all, I want to say this. It is really important for the Kurdish people and representatives of the Kurdish people to come together and shout that their genocide plans have not been successful, and that they go to decisive stages that will plan the coming period on this basis.
We talked about Xosnav Ata and his action. It is said in response to him: “You don’t have a state”. Those who do not have a state are not put in the place of people. We always say 40 million Kurdish people like this, but we have probably already exceeded 40 million. The Kurdish people are 50-60 million people and are ignored. A policy of genocide is being carried out on it. No one speaks against it. Such is reality. In that respect, it is important that the Kurds have reached a conference where they can organize and express themselves on the basis of being a democratic nation. You need to know the value of it.
But some decisions could have been more concrete. For example, they took a decision for Leader Apo’s freedom. Also for political prisoners in general dungeons… This is important, but Leader Apo’s position is not just that. Not a political prisoner in a dungeon. It seems wrong to me to equate it with this. Leader Apo’s location or the Imrali Genocide center is the center of the genocidal attacks carried out in four parts of Kurdistan. Therefore, I think that such a more concrete action plan should be reached. Maybe they will do that later. They may have taken such an internal decision. But I am saying this as far as it is reflected in the press.
KDP COMMITS A NATIONAL CRIME
Apart from this, the participating organizations and individuals reached a certain decision. One of the most important decisions; called a national conference. Our movement, our Leader, has really struggled for years, almost as long as the history of our movement, to develop Kurdish national unity. But the Kurdish national unity will also be based on natural principles, within the framework of certain rules. In that sense, it is necessary to think in a way that will serve the national unity of the Kurdish people. Even at this moment, some things can be defined more clearly. For example, heval Karasu also expressed it in the program. He said that there are approaches as if there would be no national unity without the KDP or a national conference would not take place. This is wrong. Let’s look at, for example, the role played by the KDP in the current situation. He went to Lausanne or not, I do not discuss them. Kurdish children, with chemicals, being slaughtered by tactical nuclear weapons in areas where it supposedly controls it. It’s partner in it. This is a national crime. This is criminal. KDP and KDP affiliated forces are now special war forces; No matter what anyone says, they can’t justify it. Look at the Turks. Something happens to a Turk at the other end of the world, he immediately adopts it. Now you will be a member of a people who have suffered so much and have been so persecuted – I don’t see the KDP as very Kurdish either – but this much will happen and even if it is only for show. You will not condemn. Say, look, you are persecuting the Kurds here like this, you have filled the dungeons with Kurds, I condemn you. He doesn’t exist either.
When discussing national unity, discussing the national conference, it is necessary to discuss on the basis of criteria, on the basis of the national interests of the Kurdish people. Otherwise, this will come, this will come, this will happen, this will happen. It should not be changed according to the political position of the existing forces. This is an important. But as I said, it is important that such an answer is given in Lausanne on its centennial year. It is important to make such a decision. Discussions are still ongoing. In Turkey, for example, the Lausanne debate is ongoing. HDK planned, is executing, will carry out.
We really need to discuss that conference. What fate has the international system inflicted on the Kurdish people? How can this fate be broken? What does this have to do with the peoples of the region? We really need to have these discussions. But it is also necessary to turn it into a concrete action plan and take action.
EVERYONE SHOULD JOIN THE ECOLOGY FIGHT
There are two dimensions of nature-destroying policies. First, in the context of capitalist modernity, the capitalist system of exploitation, the destruction of nature by the monster of industrialism, and the attacks that actually destroy the ecosystem. And it exists in the context of genocide policies in Türkiye and Kurdistan. There is a two-dimensional reality when it comes to Türkiye and Kurdistan. It is discussed differently elsewhere in the world.
Existing nation-states, even powerful nation-states, are protecting their own geographies. But for them, the people, the nation, the living spaces of the people have no value. There is no love or respect for that land. All of them are looters, invaders and those who will turn everything into money. That’s why today the most beautiful and precious corners of Turkey are facing destruction. I salute the mothers who resist there, these people whose hands smell of earth and who live with their callous labor. We are really impressed. I myself am impressed when I see the resistance of those mothers by hugging those trees. Because that tree is life for him, it is his past, he is his mother, he is the future of his children. It is not just a tree. Wasn’t it like that in Gezi? For example, the starting point of the Gezi Resistance was to protect the trees. And now the attack in Muğla, In that sense, they actually want to break the humanity remaining in Turkish society. A village society, rural life, nature, peace with nature, society is a moral society. He who takes care of his tree also takes care of his people. There is already such a dialectical relationship. Natural people do not break that unity. Trees do not distinguish between inanimate, soulless, human-living souls. It was also in our villages. For example, he talks to the tree, talks to the path on the road he walks, gives meaning to it. She sees him as spirited. That’s what the truth is. It gives meaning to it. If the memories of Turkish society are destroyed like this, what will be left of these moral values on which it is based? Where are these people really going? How will they live? rural life, nature, nature is at peace, the society is a moral society. He who takes care of his tree also takes care of his people.
The struggle for ecology is not only a global struggle area that saves the clean air of the future and the world. It is also a patriotic field where you claim your past. It has both local ties and a universal struggle that must be waged on a global scale. All revolutionaries, democrats, sensitive people in Turkey… There is no need to be a revolutionary-democrat; Everyone who loves their soil, wants beautiful and bright days, and wants to get fresh air should join the struggle for ecology. It is necessary to organize a wide range of participation. Within the scope of the genocide attacks, it is necessary to oppose the attacks especially in Kurdistan. He walks in Kurdistan with slightly different dimensions. Migration of the Kurdish people in Kurdistan is carried out on the basis of deterritorialization. For example, it runs on the basis of a little more economic rent in Turkey. There is a reality of Türkiye experiencing a very serious economic crisis. This makes fascism even more irritable. It goes against the workers, the peoples, the peasants more and wants to take everything that is in the palm of its hand. On this basis, everyone should be in resistance. And of course, this resistance must be led by young women and men. This is what should happen. Because what is being defended there is actually their future.
PKK IS AN INTELLIGENT YOUTH MOVEMENT
I greet the First PKK Youth Conference. PKK Youth Conference was held for the first time. In this sense, it expresses the stage it has come to. I believe that they will put their decisions into practice with great assertiveness and enthusiasm.
Much can be said about the role of the youth movement in our historical struggle. Leadership said, “We started young, we will succeed young.” The PKK started out as a youth movement from the very beginning, it was an intellectual youth movement. The PKK still maintains these characteristics.
It is our youth movement that leads the social struggle in all areas of struggle, especially in the military field. Youth gives him direction, gives him spirit, gives him style. In this sense, the decisions they make are really important.
I call on all the youth of Kurdistan at this conference to further integrate, meet and raise the struggle within the youth movement together. When we look at the present day, the youth has been brought into a state of being unable to breathe, in Turkey, in Kurdistan. The entire burden of the system, the economic burden, the burden of war, and the social and political crises have fallen on the youth. There is an explosive youth reality. But there is also a reality that manipulates it with special warfare methods. On this occasion, I say that above all, the youth of Kurdistan should be able to fight more vigilantly and effectively against special war manipulations.
It needs to maintain itself as an intellectual youth movement. In this sense, a more effective Kurdistan Youth Movement should be brought to light with the move to organize in schools, universities and high schools. That’s the important thing. It doesn’t even start from scratch. We have fifty years of combat experience. Komalen Ciwan is 18 years old. With 18 years of practice, he has both the experience and the historical background that can reveal the revolutionary fluctuation in the Middle East, starting in Kurdistan in the coming period. He’s not a beginner, he’s not inexperienced, he’s not inexperienced, he’s not in a position to come into the game.
THE YOUTH MOVEMENT WILL MAKE A STRONG START
I believe this; On the basis of the developing war, the attacks against the Kurdish people, the centennial of Lausanne, the decisions taken on the centennial of Lausanne, and all of these, on the basis of the physical freedom of the Leader, our youth movement will make a very strong debut in the coming period. The sociological and psychological basis for this is ready. What was the youth movement in Kurdistan doing in the 70s, 80s and 90s? He was telling about Kurdistan, he was trying to bring people to himself. He was saying, “You are a Kurd, look, there are Kurds, we are Kurds, we have rights as Kurds, we must fight.”
Now they say that the Kurdish reality has been revealed, it has turned into a truth that everyone accepts. Now we are discussing the question of freedom, status. Kurdistan youth should put this on their agenda. On the agenda of the youth of Kurdistan, questions such as how the Kurds live, how they will become a democratic nation, and how they will carry out their construction tasks on this basis should be. Now do we exist or not, are there Kurds or not, should we struggle or not? These are not our agenda. The target is clear. Our own truth has been revealed. Now it will become clear how we will fight. How will we take part in the military struggle? How do we take part in the political struggle? How do we take part in the struggle for thought? How do we lead enlightenment in the intellectual struggle? The agenda of the Kurdish youth should be shaped on this basis. If that happens, we have a youth movement that has a very important dynamism. We are now producing youth everywhere. Fighting youth. It is the youth fighting in Zap, Avaşîn, Heftanîn, Metîna, Xakurkê, that is, everywhere. And the PKK is a movement that always stays young with this youth.
In that sense, the PKK First Youth Conference shot another youth vaccine. On this basis, I call on all young people to participate in Komalên Ciwan activities, to participate in PKK youth activities, to be Apoist youth, and to make the voice of Apoist youth louder in all parts of Kurdistan, especially in Bakure Kurdistan.
