“In the statement we made on August 19, 2023, we stated that our comrade Çiya Agirî was martyred as a result of the conspiracy in the Banikê area of Heftanîn.
The martyrdom of our comrade Çiya, who fought for the freedom of our people by joining the guerrilla ranks with a national spirit from Rojhilatê Kurdistan, by conspiratorial elements will cause great anger among us as his comrades, and it will also be a reason for further struggle. We state that we will base the resistance line of our comrade Çiya, who is the indomitable defender of Rêber Apo and the line of martyrs in every field he is in, and we promise that we will be worthy of all our martyrs in his person.
We express our condolences to all the people of Kurdistan, especially to the valuable family of our comrade Çiya Agirî.

Our comrade Çiya was born in the city of Maku in Rojhilatê Kurdistan, in a patriotic family that paid a price in our struggle for freedom. Comrade Çiya also recognized our Party from an early age, as his family and close relatives have known and embraced our Party, the PKK and Rêber Apo since the early 1990s, and because they recruited their most precious children to the ranks of the resistance by showing an example of great patriotism. Comrade Çiya, who was impressed by the selfless resistance of his close relative Comrade Şirin Elemhûlî and all political prisoners from Rojhilat in the dungeons, thought that in order to be worthy of these self-sacrificing comrades, he must join the ranks of the resistance. He believed that only in this way he could be worthy of our martyrs who devoted themselves entirely to the freedom struggle of our people. Our comrade Çiya, who had the opportunity to get to know the guerrilla from an early age, was impressed by the guerrilla’s life stance, morals and comradely relations. Thus, he made the guerrilla the greatest target to be reached for himself. As he grew older, his admiration for the guerrilla and his determination in his cause also grew. Representing an important process for our people and our Movement, he decided to join the guerrilla ranks in order to remove the weapons of our comrade Cemil – İbrahim Por Mahmut, who was martyred in the Serhed area in 2015.
Our comrade, who received his first training in the Garê area after joining the guerrilla, successfully completed his training and quickly headed to the practical field. Our comrade, who was influenced by the revolutionary culture and morality of the PKK with the trainings he received, also stated that his return to his essence was realized through these trainings. Our comrade, who had the opportunity to learn more deeply about the reality of the Kurdish people during the training, believed that the tearing of the shroud of genocide that the enemy tried to cut down on our people was only possible through the escalation of guerrilla warfare. For this purpose, our comrade, who is based on constantly improving himself in the military and ideological sense, wanted to go to the areas where the war was most intense as soon as possible. Knowing that this is possible by becoming professional in guerrillaism, our comrade concentrated more on guerrilla tactics. Comrade Çiya, who moved to the Maxmur and Kirkuk areas after ISIS gangs attacked Bashure Kurdistan, was one of the first comrades who came to the aid of our people here. Our comrade Çiya, who took part in many moves developed against the gangs, became a militant that all his comrades took as an example with his courage and boldness. Our comrade, who gained a great deal of military experience in the war he waged against gangs, realized that the main secret of success came from ideological superiority. For this reason, he did not refrain from waging an ideological struggle in this intense practice, even in the most violent moments of the war. Returning to the Medya Defense Zones after successfully completing his mission in Maxmur-Kirkuk, our comrade quickly took his place in the resistance positions with the war experience he gained. Our comrade Çiya, who has been working in the field of Heftanîn since 2018, took part in many actions against the enemy and tried to respond to the developing enemy attacks. Comrade Çiya, who sees himself as responsible to his comrades who struggle with him, has made a great effort and effort for their development. With the enemy’s attack on the Heftanîn area, our comrade, who devotedly participated in the resistance that developed under the leadership of Bargiran and Zelal, ensured that heavy blows were inflicted on the enemy in the Heftanîn area. Our comrade Çiya, who had a share in the transformation of every inch of Heftanîn’s land into a resistance area, He devotedly fought and fought with his comrades for the practice of the new era guerrilla tactic. Comrade Çiya, who was in a one-on-one battle in the Cenga Heftanîn Campaign, where he was a team commander, and who also guided his comrades, managed to adequately represent the new era’s command line.
Afterwards, our comrade Çiya, who was involved in different activities for a while, returned to Heftanîn with his own will and insistence. Our comrade Çiya, who was almost connected to this field where he fought and worked with many comrades of martyrs, fought with great will and determination to break the enemy occupation. Comrade Çiya, who took part in many actions in the Heftanîn area, spent every moment concentrating on the blows he would inflict on the enemy. Our comrade Çiya, whose sole aim is to spread the resistance to every region of Heftanîn and to keep the memories of his martyred comrades alive, became an exemplary militant with his life and honest comradeship.
