“Our comrades Rêzan and Bawer, the precious and distinguished sons of our Botan people, were martyred in the attack carried out by the invading Turkish state on the Medya Defense Zones on August 6, 2023. Our comrades Rêzan and Bawer, who lived every moment on the basis of Apoist ideology and loyalty to the martyrs and the people, became an exemplary Apoist militant in our struggle for freedom, in which they participated with great faith, assertion and determination. Our comrades Rêzan and Bawer took their places in our struggle history as exemplary heroes to be taken as an example by all Kurdistan youth with their participation and stance in the struggle.
We promise that we will always keep the memories of the noble, pure-hearted, conscious, brave sons of the Kurdish people, like Comrade Rêzan and Bawer, alive, not leaving their souls on the ground, taking their revenge and achieving their goals.

Comrade Rêzan opened his eyes to life in the city of Sirnex, Botan, known for his nobility and resistance. His family named him Rêzan, which means knowing the way and showing the way. Our comrade Rêzan, who grew up in a patriotic family and environment, grew up with strong patriotic feelings, awareness, social morality and decency from his family. Our comrade Rêzan, the eldest child of his family, grew up and matured at an early age. She studied, worked at work, and became a hardworking son of her family.
The genocidal, colonialist Turkish state aimed to burn down and liquidate patriotic Kurdish cities in 2015, within the framework of the Precipitation Plan they put into action against the Kurdish people. Our patriotic people and their noble sons resisted this persecution. While our comrade Rêzan was living in Şirnex with his family, he witnessed the brutal attacks and inhumanity of the Turkish state. Our comrade Murat (Behlül Güngen), the uncle of our comrade Rêzan, joined and led the Şirnex Self-Government Resistance and defended his own lands against the invaders. The martyrdom of our comrade Murat on 14 May 2016 had a great impact on our comrade Rêzan. The fascist Turkish state did not allow our comrade Rêzan and his patriotic family to live freely in their own land. But his family, noble, honorable, devoted and honest patriots, He never bowed to the enemy, did not surrender and did not compromise his stance. Therefore, they had to migrate to the Martyr Rustem Camp as a family. Comrade Rêzan, who got used to camp life early after settling here and was loved for his hard work and honesty, sought to avenge what was done to his family and people. He wanted to join the guerrilla ranks many times, but this request was not always accepted due to his young age. Our comrade Rêzan worked unreservedly for his family and people with his hardworking, self-sacrificing, humble and hardworking personality wherever he was. At the same time, he improved himself by studying freely in the Kurdish language and patriotic culture in the camp. On the one hand, he studied, on the other hand worked to contribute to his family, on the other hand, he took part in patriotic youth activities. Our comrade Rêzan, who successfully fulfilled all his social duties, became a young man who was loved by everyone and pioneered. He knew how to protect himself against the effects of capitalist modernity.
Comrade Rûken Botan (Güler Güngen), who is the aunt of our comrade Rêzan, was martyred in Cûdî on 17 December 2022. The martyrdom of Comrade Rûken has deeply affected our comrade Rêzan. Our comrade Rêzan, who grew up with the dream of always joining the ranks of the revolution, walking in the footsteps of the martyrs and being a guerrilla, decided to join the ranks of the struggle in 2023 after the martyrdom of Comrade Rûken. Our comrade Rêzan, who was brought up with the morality, culture and consciousness of our Party PKK, adapted to Party life without any difficulty, and immediately took over the works with a great motivation like the experienced staff of the years. In a short time, he was able to gain the love and respect of all his comrades in the field he was in. Comrade Rêzan, just like his name, whatever work he does,
Our comrade Rêzan was a young comrade who could assume great responsibilities in our people’s struggle for existence and freedom, achieve great success and promise a bright future. However, on August 6, he was martyred very early in the attack of the enemy. The early martyrdom of our comrade Rêzan deeply affected us comrades. Our patriotic people, who did not succumb to the assimilation, denial and destruction attacks of the colonialists, developed a unique line of resistance together with our party PKK, which created hope under the leadership of Rêber Apo. Our comrade Bawer, who had to migrate from Kurdistan to settle in Istanbul from Turkey’s metropolises due to the oppression and persecution of the genocidal Turkish state, and was born in a patriotic family, grew up inheriting patriotic culture and awareness from his family despite growing up far from Kurdistan. As a Kurdish youth in the metropolises of the invaders, he witnessed the oppression our people were subjected to at an early age. Comrade Bawer, who did not remain silent in the face of the colonialists’ efforts to attract Kurdish youth to all kinds of dirty ways, especially substance abuse, knew the reality of the enemy closely at a young age and believed that there should be an answer by fighting. Our comrade, who took the first step into the ranks of the struggle by being involved in youth work, made a great effort to protect the Kurdish youth against the dirty policies of the invaders and to raise their awareness.
Our comrade Bawer, who joined the guerrilla ranks in 2019, made a great and meaningful start by choosing August 15, the resurrection day of our people, as the day of participation, and took a march in the footsteps of our immortal commander Egîd (Mahsum Korkmaz). Our comrade Bawer, who was very impressed by the paradise geography of Kurdistan and relieved his longing for the country by joining the ranks of the guerrilla, quickly overcame all the difficulties he faced with his energetic, enthusiastic and laboring personality and became integrated with the holy guerrilla life. Our comrade Bawer, who deepened himself in the Rêber Apo philosophy and based on militancy, became a militant ready for the difficult conditions of the period by specializing in the military as well as the ideological field. Our comrade, who embraced the works with great determination and willpower to complete his revolutionary missions with great success, He stepped forward for a short time and led his comrades.
