AFRIN – HRE Command made a statement on its website, “Our comrade Êrîş Visitê, who took his place in the ranks of HRE as part of the second phase of the Afrin Resistance of the Age, was martyred in an action held in Afrin on August 15. While expressing our condolences to all our people, especially his family, we promise that we will take his revenge as his comrades.”
The Command stated the following regarding the martyred warrior:
“Our comrade Êriş Gezginê, real name Beşar Ehmed, was born in an Arab family in Sherawa District of Afrin. He recognized the freedom struggle at a young age and became a volunteer for the path of freedom. Just as the Rojava Revolution turned into a revolution for all humanity in a short time, the peoples of the region are in revolution with all their being. He joined the ranks of the revolution against the barbarism of the gangs in Syria.
As an Arab youth, our comrade Êriş witnessed all kinds of inhuman practices of the gangs, especially the resistance against the Turkish occupation, and the unique heroism of the Rojava Revolution. Especially after Afrin was occupied by the invading Turkish state and its mercenaries, he promised to liberate his homeland from the invaders by following the path of the martyrs. The occupation of Afrin has created a great grudge and anger in the heart and mind of Comrade Êriş. With this vengeful anger, he decided to join the Afrin Liberation Forces.
As HRE, we promised our people that we would liberate Afrin from the invaders with the participation of brave people like Comrade Êriş. At the same time, we are proud of the participation of heroes such as Comrade Êriş, who is the symbol of the comradeship of the Kurdish and Arab peoples. Comrade Êriş took part in all kinds of work with great courage, determination and persistence to save his city from the invaders from the day he joined until the day he was martyred. He had an exemplary effort and stance in life and military activities. He took a place in the hearts of all his comrades with his warmth and humility. Despite his young age, he acted with a great sense of responsibility.
Once again, we express our condolences to all our people, especially the family of our comrade Êriş, and we state that as the comrades of Martyr Êriş, we will make them bigger in our minds and hearts, we will keep their dreams alive and realize their goals.”
