BEHDINAN – PKK Executive Committee published a written message on the occasion of the anniversary of the 15 August Initiative, when the first bullet was fired against occupation, colonialism and denial of the Kurds.
The message of the PKK Executive Committee, addressed to the Kurdish people and the democratic public, is as follows:
“We are entering the 40th year of our glorious 15 August Revolutionary Breakthrough, which brought the Apoist line into organization and action, and carried the 1982 Great Dungeon Resistance decision to the mountains and the guerrilla, with the great resistance of our people and guerrilla forces in every field. The HPG and YJA Star guerrillas inflicting heavy blows on the AKP-MHP fascist gangs on 9-10 August, especially in Zap, the historical resistance area, greet the 39th anniversary of the great breakthrough, enlightening us on how the 40th anniversary struggle will be lived. First of all, we celebrate the success of the guerrilla, who turned Cûdî Hill into a historical resistance fortress and victory hill, on August 9-10, and once again salute the historical resistance of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla, which did not allow the fascist-genocidal occupation.
FOR 39 YEARS, WE RESIST AGAINST TRNC COLONIALISM AND GENOCIDE
The performance of our heroic guerrilla forces as we enter the 40th anniversary of the historic August 15 Initiative makes our people and our friends more hopeful and determined in the 40th anniversary struggle. On this basis, our struggle for freedom led by youth and women in four parts of Kurdistan and abroad is developing and growing. It is clear that this historical struggle, which was locked on the physical freedom of Leader Apo, will gain strength in its 40th breakthrough year and will advance on the path of victory. In this context, we celebrate the August 15 Resurrection and Guerrilla Day of all party comrades, especially Leader Apo, our heroic guerrilla, women and youth, our patriotic people and our friends. We commemorate all the martyrs of the historical heroic breakthrough with deep respect, love and gratitude in the person of our immortal commanders, comrades Egîd and Zîlan.
As it is known, on the basis of the 15 August Initiative, as the Movement and the people, we have been resisting uninterruptedly against the Turkish colonialism and genocidalism for 39 years. This great resistance, which is the most meaningful resistance in history, is taking place along the Apoist freedom line and under the leadership of the guerrilla. Leader Apo and heroic martyrs command the truth in this 39-year heroic resistance. This great resistance, carried out on the basis of giving fifty thousand martyrs, has educated the Kurds and enlightened humanity, brought freedom consciousness and organization to the Kurdish society, and created a free individual, free woman and man in the person of Leader Apo, martyrs and guerrillas. By putting an end to all kinds of slavery and negative trends in Kurdistan, it is the power that started the free life and the history of freedom.
IT WAS THE BASIS FOR NUMEROUS REVOLUTIONARY DEVELOPMENTS
It is clear that the Revolutionary Breakthrough of August 15, 1984 and the uninterrupted guerrilla resistance developed on this basis underlie all the libertarian development that has taken place in Kurdistan over the past 39 years. Scientists state that the bullets fired in Eruh and Şemdinli on August 15, 1984 are mainly bullets fired into Kurdish slavery. While the 15th of August Breakthrough started the National Resurrection Revolution and the Women’s Freedom Revolution in its sixth year, it started to organize the resistance against the international conspiracy from the 15th year, and became the basis for numerous revolutionary developments, especially the Rojava Freedom Revolution. On the basis of the historical Imrali Resistance and with the paradigm change realized, Leader Apo has made the truth the leader of all the oppressed.
CREATED A NEW HOPE OF LIBERATION IN THE OPPRESSED
While the 39th anniversary of the Revolutionary Breakthrough of August 15, which ended the history of slavery in Kurdistan and started the history of freedom, is now happening, many circles are discussing this breakthrough more deeply and trying to understand whether the said breakthrough was necessary and therefore what it led to. It is clear that if there had been no revolutionary intervention in history on the basis of such a breakthrough, the Kurdish genocide would have deepened over the past 39 years, and there would have been nothing serious about Kurdishness. In Turkey, lies and deception, the anti-Kurdish fascist, colonialist and genocidal mentality would prevail, and would continue to dominate without objection. On this basis, the fascist, colonialist and genocidal mentality and politics would ensure its full dominance all over the world.
This means that the struggle that developed on the basis of the August 15 Initiative did not only bring the Kurds consciousness of freedom, organization and action; At the same time, it became a complete enlightenment by deciphering all the lies for Turkey and the entire Middle East and humanity, and developed the search for freedom and democracy in every field. Especially with the Women’s Freedom Revolution, which developed on the basis of Jineology defined by Leader Apo, she revealed the consciousness and power to question and overcome the power and state system based on the male-dominated mentality and politics of five thousand years, and capitalism, which is its last modernity, with all its dimensions. With Leader Apo’s ecological, women’s libertarian and democratic society paradigm, it has created a new hope of salvation for all the oppressed by illuminating the history and the present.
‘THE JUMP OF HOPE, BELIEF AND PERseverance’
Leader Apo defined the Revolutionary Breakthrough of August 15, 1984 as ‘a breakthrough of hope, persistence and persistence’. Every moment of the 39-year great struggle was spent paying heavy prices, experiencing difficulties and pain. Each year faced greater challenges and obstacles than the previous year. But all this did not intimidate or hinder our party and our people in developing the aforementioned historical struggle. In an environment where opportunities and opportunities are almost non-existent, this 39-year-old struggle was carried out successfully on the basis of Leader Apo’s enlightening and remedial thoughts and the courage and sacrifice of the Kurdish people. Our 39th year struggle revealed a resistance, persistence, endurance and success that exceeded previous years, especially under the leadership of the Zap, Avaşîn and Metina resistances that developed against all kinds of illegal weapons.
We are now entering the 40th year of the historic August 15 Leap Forward as the Movement and the people. It is clear that the Turkish administration, which renewed itself on the basis of the elections held last May, is in an effort to further increase its anti-Kurdish, fascist, colonial and genocidal attacks. It is trying to continue these attacks by mobilizing all of Turkey’s internal and external power and by not adhering to any legal and moral rules. Imrali wants to strangle Leader Apo by deepening the torture and isolation system. With the strength it draws from the Astana meetings, NATO and KDP betrayal, it is in an effort to increase its attacks, crush our guerrilla on this basis, liquidate our party leadership, and occupy Rojava and Bashur parts of Kurdistan. To break the will of resistance in the dungeon with the special war he developed, to make the youth and women unable to fight, trying to neutralize democratic politics. On this basis, Türkiye wants to deepen the fascist oppression, terrorism and exploitation on its peoples.
THE 40TH YEAR OF THE LEVELS WILL BE THE STAGE TO HISTORICAL STRUGGLES
Undoubtedly, as the Movement and the people, as the Kurdish people and the peoples of Turkey, as revolutionary and democratic friends, we have resisted valiantly against all these attacks of AKP-MHP fascism, and we will resist even more strongly in the 40th year of the great leap forward, based on the lessons we have learned from the past. First of all, the freedom resistance of Imrali, which has no equal in history, will continue to illuminate our path and lead us. No matter what force and method it attacks, the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla, which constantly renews itself in the Apoist line, will heroically resist all enemy attacks with a self-sacrificing line, defeating the current Tayyip Erdoğan and the People’s Alliance fascist-genocidal administration, just like the fascist-genocidal Turkish governments it has buried in history for 39 years. will throw it in the trash. The dungeon resistances, which have the victory line of the 14 July Great Death Fast, will also continue to be invincible. Our people, led by youth and women, and our Turkish friends, against all kinds of special war attacks, will make their struggle on the basis of the goal of overthrowing fascism more widespread and creative. More than ever, our people and friends abroad will contribute to our struggle for freedom in this 40th year.
It is clear that the 40th year of the great breakthrough will also be the scene of historical struggles. Perhaps a struggle worth the sum of the past 39 years will be experienced in this 40th year. However, no matter how much the fascist-genocidal enemy increases their fierce attacks, we will definitely be the winners by renewing ourselves on the line of breakthrough and victory on August 15, and by developing the struggle that succeeded in its period missions more effectively with creative methods in every field. It is on this basis that we celebrate the 39th anniversary of our historic August 15 Revolutionary Breakthrough, and we enter the 40th year with this conviction and determination.
On the basis of these, it salutes the 15 August celebrations in all areas and the actions demanding the physical freedom of Leader Apo; We call on our patriotic people and friends to renew themselves with the spirit of breakthrough and victory on August 15, to develop our great resistance on the basis of overthrowing AKP-MHP fascism and ensuring the physical freedom of Leader Apo in every field and to win in every field in the 40th year!”
