BEHDINAN – While one of the biggest wars in the history of the 21st century was taking place in the Middle East, YJA Star guerrillas Barin Batman, Hevî Özalp and HPG guerrilla Mikail Çekdar shared their thoughts with ANF.
THE DREAM OF THE FASCIST POWERS WILL NOT REALIZE
YJA Star guerrilla Barîn Batman, Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and Kurdistan Freedom guerrillas and patriotic people of Kurdistan celebrated the 15 August Resurrection Day and commemorated those who were martyred in the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle. Drawing attention to the importance of August 15 in the Kurdish struggle, Barîn Batman said,
“The breakthrough of August 15 is an expression of rebirth for the Kurdistan guerrillas and the oppressed peoples. It is the formation of a free identity. After the 15 August breakthrough, great courage developed in the people of Kurdistan, they stood against the fascist Turkish state with a steely will. Today, it is clearly seen that no power can stand against the will of the Kurdish people. August 15 was a call for freedom, and the young people who believed in this call continued to run for the mountains of freedom at all times. We, as the guerrillas of Kurdistan, promise that we will keep alive this legacy left to us by heval Egîd. The fascist Turkish state always carries out psychological warfare by saying ‘we destroyed the guerrilla’, continues its dirty policies, in fact, it does not believe what it says itself; Despite all the directions of the enemy, guerrillas are fighting with a will of steel in Metîna, Avaşîn and Zap. This is in view.
We believe that we will win this war with the strength and faith created by our leadership’s ideology and the spirit of August 15. The lands of Kurdistan will never be a part of the fascist Turkish state. In Zap, the guerrillas are fighting with a will of steel, despite all the directions of the enemy. This is in view. AN ALWAYS LIVING SOUL
HPG guerrilla Mikail Çekdar drew attention to the importance of August 15, saying,
“The breakthrough of August 15 is the first footsteps of the revolution that developed in Kurdistan. As important as August 15 is for us, it is as important for our people. August 15 is the symbol of rebirth and re-existence in a country dominated by fear and death. On August 15, heval Egîd defeated the fascist Turkish army with his action and shocked the enemy. It has been a great source of strength and morale for us. It was a great response for our martyred comrades and patriotic people. This action created a great fear in the hearts of all our enemies and has helped us come to this day. Just as water does not end as it flows, it joins with another water and grows all the time, so the guerrilla movement grew. From the first day until now, no matter how hard the enemy tries to destroy the guerrilla, the guerrilla is like an endless stream, it grows as it flows. Even if one person remains, this ideology, this spirit will survive. Because heval Egîd started such a resistance that he created such a spirit that such a fighting spirit in Kurdistan is rarely seen in history.
So far, we have had hundreds of comrades and commanders who fought in the footsteps of our great commander, heval Egîd, and were martyred. Depending on this, this spirit is visible in Zap, Metîna and Avaşîn. We’re not talking about anything imaginary. Everything is in sight. The fascist Turkish army uses all kinds of banned weapons against the guerrillas and against the nature of Kurdistan, and they cannot break the will of the Kurdistan freedom guerrillas. We took the spirit of war from heval Egîd, heval Zîlan, and heval Bêrîtan. We derive our strength from the legacy they left us. We are these spirits. In particular, we derive from our Leader’s ideology of democratic modernity and women’s freedom. No matter how much hegemonic forces want to destroy us physically, they can never destroy us in thought. The ideology of our leadership has spread all over the world. We believe that we will expel the enemy from the Middle East and Kurdistan. PKK is the life hope of the Middle East. We believe that we will live in a free Kurdistan under our leadership.”
WE WILL SUCCESS WITH THE MORALE AND ENJOYMENT CREATED BY THE FIRST LEAD
YJA STAR Guerrilla Hêvî Özalp said that the resistance in the mountains of Kurdistan continues with the morale and enthusiasm created by the first bullet fired under the leadership of Commander Egîd on 15 August. Evaluating the 15 August Breakthrough, YJA Star guerrilla Hêvî Özalp stated that the Freedom Movement developed with the spirit created by the morale and enthusiasm created by the 15 August Breakthrough in Kurdistan and said, “I congratulate the August 15 Breakthrough of my friends who are currently resisting in a position of war, especially Leader Apo and the martyrs of the revolution.”
THOUSANDS OF OUR FRIENDS ARE FIGHTING WITH THE FEDARY SPIRIT OF EGID
Stating that the spirit and enthusiasm created by the first bullet fired on 15 August under the leadership of Commander Egîd, continued for years, Özalp made the following assessment: “With this spirit, our friends add themselves to life and war. It is taken into account that participation is ensured with the morale created by this spirit of resistance. Our friends are resisting on the war fronts with the spirit of resistance developed by Friend Egîd. Resist with the spirit of sacrifice left by your friend Egîd and we have thousands of friends who are fighting. This journey, created with the spirit of resistance created by your friend Egîd and your friend Zîlan, will bring success. This spirit is necessary for the war waged in the mountains of the Middle East and Kurdistan, and this war is being waged with this spirit. We will fight this spirit until the last drop of our blood.
